To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I was concerned about the polarity possibly being reversed after reading multiple reviews, but was pleasantly surprised when I received the cable to see that it was correct. I did have to dremel out the positive terminal connector a bit to make it fit on the auxiliary post I have connected to the positive terminal of my car battery, but overall wasn't too difficult. Now I can hook my car up to the batter tender every night without having to pop the hood in the evening, and slam it shut every morning. The 4 foot length was perfect to reach from the battery to the grill of the car. Also happy with the gauge of the cable, others I was looking at were too small for my application, this one has been working great.
I purchased this along with this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GX19KT9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 so I could wire this cable direct to the battery and leave the solar setup in place. This is on an old plow truck so I just wanted the battery kept charged.Plugged this cable to the battery side of the charge controller and then the next day checked battery voltage. It had discharged by about 0.3V. Puzzled I checked output from panel and it was approx 18 to 19 vdc unloaded. Checked output from charge controller and it was 13.7 + volts then I looked at my plugs and saw the red wire from charge controller plugged into the negative side plug. The protected terminal from charge controller is the positive which would then mean it should plug into the bare terminal on this extension cable. The bare terminal on the extension cable is connected to the black (-) wire. Easy fix to just reverse the wire terminals at the battery but still isn't straight forward plug and play.
I needed a longer cable to connect the the positive and negative terminals on my 2004 BMW to a Battery Tender. The terminals are located near the shock tower and the Battery Tender cable was to short (the battery is located in the trunk). I had to replace both O ring terminals with larger ones because the original ones where to small to fit over the terminal posts. If the cable had larger O rings I would have given it a 5 star rating.
