Easy to install and worked well for a few days. I would suggest this works for a hole in exhaust but I attempted to repair a sheered pipe using this product. I believe if this came with some wire to reinforce the sheer before applying the pipe would vibrate less and maybe it would have held.
I would recommend this for small or medium holes in the pipes before the cat. But not for the purpose i used it. A steel band clamp would be better for my purpose.
I’m rating lower on value for money because it did not harden like steel and it fell off the exhaust completely after three days. I believe it would help someone who wants to close off a hole in their exhaust for a temporary basis. Nothing beats replacing parts properly with their OEM equivalent. Or use a band clamp where at all possible for equivalent price.
I just finally applied it in my exhaust pipe in my car, its been a week and im hoping it will last a little longer. So far so good And it sealed the leak in my exhaust pipe pretty good, no more loud noises. I have someone install it for me and it only took around half an hour to do and half an hour to drive around after
my exhaust snapped at my flex pipe, I bought this to hopefully fix the problem. It held strong for over a month and honestly I'm pretty pleased with it. It bought me time to get the money together for the part I needed.
Repaired an exhaust manifold with this product, the wrap was difficult to adhere to itself, however after wetting the product, it adhered much better. The packet of cement that came with it is of good quality, definitely recommend this product as a temporary fix.
For my application this was not the right choice. Tried to join the exhaust pipe back to the muffler in a tight area, followed manufacturers directions. Was driving on the highway, hit the gas and the area that I wrapped separated. At the end of the day, went to the local muffler shop and got a new muffler welded to the exhaust pipe
