UPDATE JAN 2021: This item almost DOUBLED IN PRICE. Seriously? If it stays this costly, no it isn't worth it. Back to the search for cheaper ink again, I guess.
I just started creating prints of my artwork (using the Canon Pixma Pro100 Printer, clip studio as the program), and wanted a cheaper alternative to the canon ink prices. Overall I'm pretty happy with these. I've noticed that it prints art files and scans a little better than actual photographs (probably due to my artwork being softer lines and colors that a true and blue photograph), but for what I need it for it does very well! Still trying to make it a perfect match, but it's a solid 90% of the way there, so I use this ink quite a bit. I always have a backup pack of these, but can honestly say it's a solid product, and I've never had complaints of the print quality, or color fading or anything like that (knock on wood). Is it exactly the canon ink, not *quiiiite* there, Magenta goes pretty fast (though to be honest I do think that's just the printer); but is it worth the cost difference so I can relay those savings to my clients? Absolutely. The *only* reason it's not perfect is it's just a hair duller than the cannon ink, and a little heavy on the light gray. You wouldn't notice it unless you knew what you were looking for in a direct comparison. Hope this helps!
Previously, I experienced good quality and longevity for these cartridges, but I just tried to replace the last two in the set (Cyan and Black) and the clips were broken on both and would not install. Since I purchased the set in March, the 30-day return/refund can not be applied. Very disappointed.
So far they work fine and are a bargain. I get some of the ink on my fingers every time I remove the seal to insert them in my printer. It comes from the sponge-hole that should be blocked once installed. It is almost as if these have some pressure inside that spits out a bit of ink. I will look inside the next time I change these to see if ink is getting in to the printer.
When preparing the two cartridges for installation, they both leaked enough to get ink alk over my hand. They are working fine, but what I suspect is that they had a bit too much pressure..at least it seems that way.
I bought this set and Nextpage's set of 3 blacks since they run out faster. I am reviewing this based on the fact that a black cartridge made 1/2 a print and stopped putting out ink, while still managing to leak ink all over my hands. 3 print head cleanings did nothing. I then substituted the black ink cartridge from this set and at least so far it works fine. The print I made matches exactly the Canon ink print, but I am only giving 3 stars because I know I have at least one bad cartridge from the 3 black ink set.
Opened the first cartridge extremely carefully because I saw other reviews that show ink all over the place! Well that did no good for me. Ink literally spewed all over me! BUT The rest were fine and they do work, so saving a ton of money is good.
