I just bought this product and sent it out to its run. It didn't work as my previous vacuum robot does. It falls off steps 100% of the time, doesn't return home station and gets stuck on small steps. It is far beyond below my expectation and mine is not high at all: given my previous one cost at least 20% lower. It is a real disappointment and I'll try to return it.
Please don't waste your money. I bought this product on September 18, 2018 - it worked so well, it was so helpful with my busy life. Now it takes a lot longer to clean my carpet and it doesn't clean half as good as it used to when I bought it. I wish I could get a refund for this. Good product - but it's life is very limited. 4 months for this price? As much as I loved it, I am very disappointed in this product now.
My main concern was is it powerful enough to clean. I had my room cleaned by the maid and then used this in room mode. The amount of dust I got was pretty substantial and shocking.
I don't know anything about the long term viability but this thing works a treat when new. I like this model because its slim (can go under beds and drawers) and I don't have wifi (rural area) so don't need that extraneous stuff. Hopefully since it's simpler than newer models with laser navigation etc., chances of failure will be reduced.
For 15k bucks I'm not regretting the decision initially. Let's see what the future brings.
Edit: After 5 months it still works nice. Some observations: 1. Keep it away from water. It went to my bathroom one time and the filter and dust box got filled with water and it was a big mess. I dried it for 2 days but it worked again.
2. The side brushes keep breaking down. 3 arms of a single brush broke down so I replaced it and another arm has broken off. A brush has 3 arms to sweep so it's not a big problem but quality is a bit iffy on those. It happens because of my base of door is at slight height and it tries to climb it. Either have stuff at floor level or high enough (3 inches or more) so it doesn't have this problem.
3. It enters under my bed but gets stuck in the middle because maybe it is just a little bent where I sleep. It was a pain to get it out so I put the strips at my bedside so it doesn't clean there now.
4. I need to empty the dust box (I clean only a single room of 250 square feet so I can go with 5-6 days without emptying it but if you apply the brush to the filter daily it's better.
Edit: October 2020 so like 7 months after (purchased in March i think). The battery has gone kaput. Ironically choose this because i thought battery life would be good because it was produced by anker.
If you are looking for a robot vacuum that works great, is relatively cheap and has great customer service for ONE YEAR OR LESS, this is your product. I bought this one and an 11S model and both failed after exactly a week or two after the first year. The main issue is, these are NON-REPAIRABLE by the vendor so after the first year if they die, the vendor may give you a discount to buy a new one (as long as the new one is NOT DISCOUNTED by the seller - meaning you pay FULL PRICE then get the discount). I must explain two things here, that may NOT apply to everyone buying these. I have a large home, with each floor in the 1400 sq.ft range so I have three units, one on each floor. These units were programmed to start every single day at 9:00am so they ran on a daily basis, what means 365 cycles a year. Maybe they are just not build to last. If you run these twice a week, probably they will last you two, three years. Now, run these daily on large homes and I can bet they will fail like mine did (the red flashing light with four beeps). So if you want to buy these make sure you do get the Amazon extended warranty AND still be aware of this may be a product that will go to the garbage after two years. If you are ok with that, go for it. If you are looking for more reliable, longer lasting robot vacuums, look elsewhere (Xiaomi is way more reliable and much better built, same for Roomba but yes, they come at a higher price point so at the end you get what you pay for). It is really a shame because the red flashing four beeps could be fixed with a firmware update (I did disassemble both units and they were clean, no debris on the gears, nothing - what does lead to weak/poor electrical motors and by the way, they are dead simple to disassemble and replace the motor IF they were available to buy) but the vendor refuses to fix these AND to acknowledge this is indeed a problem (just do a quick search on the internet for ROBOVAC MAIN BRUSH FLASHING RED LIGHT). WIth all that in mind, you have been warned.
Absolute wastage of money. I bought mine in March and it is already dead. Not taking charge any more. In the 7 months that I have had it, I have barely used it 30 times altogether maybe. So it is basically 15k down the drain. Do not but Eufy product if you don't want to waste your money.
I have been using Eufy Robovac for a little over 3 months now and recently the adapter broke. Neither the Manufacturer nor the Seller was able to assist. I was even ready to pay for the adapter although it was still under the warranty. Eufy asked me to reach out to the Seller and the Seller asked me to reach out to Amazon. Finally, Amazon initiated a return request and agreed to a refund. If not for Amazon, I would be screwed.
Can't believe I am returning the product which is actually working fine but the issue is with just the adapter
