Want to love, but painful water pressure

I never thought I could have so many critiques of a shower head until now. I have had this shower head for about 2 months and wanted to love it at first - Two stars because if you are starting with very low water pressure this would probably be a nice shower head and I notice the water is much cleaner because I have no mineral build up in my shower.

Very Strong Water Pressure
The power is invigorating for my skin, however it is painful on sensitive areas.
- The holes where the water escapes are very small and it can feel sharp like pins and needles.
- The high pressure creates almost a whirlwind at the base of my shower that literally blows my shower curtain.
- I have very fine hair and I have noticed the hair at the top of my head gets very tangled because the water stream pushes my hair forward. I don’t know how to describe this accurately, but long story short my fine hair gets blasted by water which dries it out and tangles it.

Loses Water Temperature
I don’t know if this is due to the small holes/streams of water, or the fact that the shower head is situated so high in the holder, but the water is cold by the time it hits my legs/lower body. Therefore, I increase the temperature more and I run out of hot water quicker.

Hard to Switch Filters
It was also very difficult for me to physically replace the filters once I found them.

Wastes Water?
I can’t be certain this is exclusively caused by this shower head, but my water bill and water usage have gone up significantly since buying this shower head.

i don’t think i have ever written a review before but since i was so excited to test this out i had to. for the longest time my skin has been red and irritated even after having the most nourishing skincare routine i’ve ever had. i never knew why until someone brought up hard water and recommended this. first off, you cant smell the aroma at all (at least for me) & the water pressure isn’t painful like everyone said but it might be different for everyone. now… the reason i bought this. says that it’s supposed to soften the water and that’s what alllllll the reviews were saying it did as well so i had high hopes but i didn’t notice a difference in the softness. used a PPM meter and my original water was 210….why did i add the hard water filter & it sky rocketed to 328 😀 somethings not adding up. at least i get my $40 back

I like that it looks exactly like the picture..I like that it comes with 3 refillable scented thingys that go inside the shower head...it last very long time I bought it more then 8 months ago and I'm still on the first one. The only thing that I dislike about it is the water pressure. It's hard, it hurts sensitive areas in ur body, it causes alot of wind inside the shower so if u have shower curtains they will go crazy in ur shower lol. Until u get it and use it, it starts to minimize the wind but still the water pressure is strong. It leaves water everywhere for some reson like when u get out everything in ur restroom with have tiny drops of water, I don't know why but it just does. It does not leak,its in very good condition the only real problem is the water pressure ,unless u have a very low water pressure and need more this product will be good. If your going to buy one make sure it has a button in the middle to stop the water so u can regulate the water pressure on your own. I was recommended another one that looks just like this one but with a button in the middle. I got this one because I thought it was the same one and its not... I would not buy this one again.

Once the holes start clogging the spray starts going in many directions and I don’t think there is any settings to change the pressure it’s only one style. But you can take it out and clean just that piece I didn’t realize at first would have been nicer with settings. But I don’t know if it was worth it last about a year and made of plastic

I was on the hunt for a new shower head that was filtered. I have had my original one for many years. Zero issues as far as water flow, no leakage, etc. My only issue the past few months was experiencing dry hair and skin. I felt like my water not being filtered might be cause of it. Not to mention my skin didn’t smell like my body but would smell like the water. Sounds strange I know!

Anyways I saw the reviews on this and felt like I had to try it. Installation was very easy and simple.

After using it for two weeks, it’s nothing super spectacular. I will say I noticed a slight improvement with my hair and skin being less dry but not a big difference to be honest. I also saw some people say they experienced some aroma from the filter I believe? I have yet to smell any of the filters when I turn the water on. Another thing I noticed and have tried to fix is that there is leakage on the side where the hose connects to the shower arm. Not sure why that’s a thing but read it on another review that they experienced leaking too.

I would return it and get my money back if I wasn’t so lazy to switch my old shower head back. I’ll just use it for however long the filters will last me but then find something else.

I ordered this product April 20 2019 for the apartment I loved into in May. It's now May 1st 2020 and it broke leaving me with hair full of conditioner and half shaved legs. I liked the scents,but didn't notice much difference in my hair since PA has very hard water that was my main reason for choosing this showerhead. The ring that you tighten to attach the hose to the pipe so that water comes through is not metal it's plastic so it was not fun to install and I guess I knew then it wasn't built to last, but today the top of the hose literally snapped leaving the plastic ring on the pipe and water going everywhere on the wall! It also always had a couple of little holes that were rebels and squirted water in the wrong directions not with the stream and could escape above the shower curtain but I dealt with it. The only real pros are the price and for me the water pressure it created I loved it. My dad with more sensitive skin claimed he felt he was being pelted with tiny hail and never used my shower again, I only ever felt the pain after a sunburn last summer. It made it a year. Your choice is if it's worth it or not.

This showerhead is beyond magnificent. I installed it yesterday and my shower experience was wonderful. It’s too soon for me to make claims about whether or not it gives life to my hair and softens my skin, but at this point, I am quite satisfied and think it’s a wonderful product for the money. In fact, I am purchasing another one for my guest bathroom. It feels like there are 1000 tiny jets of water which is very exhilarating but not forceful. Not sure quite how they do that!

OK so this was my original review and I had given this showerhead five stars. About a month ago I began to notice mineral deposits on the surface of the showerhead and some of the jets were squirting out in weird directions. I had purchased several replacement filters along with the shower head. I thought to myself that I need to replace the filter. I am the only person living here so it didn’t get a great deal of use like a family bathroom would have. Still it’s been around a year so I unscrewed the shower head. There is literally no way to get the face off to replace the filter. So essentially it’s gone in the trash. I thought the showerhead was quite effective as I have detailed above but as I am unable to put a new filter in, it’s no good.

Painful Water Pressure

I am definitely returning this because OW!

Pros:
- It did make my hair and skin feel dramatically softer after just one wash.
- Easy installation

Cons:
- Very painful water pressure that felt like tiny pin pricks. In sensitive areas, it felt like needles.
- While trying to rinse off shampoo, the sound was almost deafening from the hard water pressure on my head
- No water pressure adjustment
- Creates a vortext of wind. I was battling my shower curtain the entire time as billowed out to take up the entire tub.
- Water comes out colored (from the filter) and stains a little bit.
- No smell to the filters
- Filters appear to be only synthetic. Not green/sustainable. You'd be better off with a couple drops of essential oil.
