I am surprised it is this small. Maybe 50% bigger than a smart phone. The white background is not as white as I would like it to be. The transition to the next page is not as smooth as LCD technology. The touch screen is responsive enough but again, not as good as tablet or phone screen. There are no volume buttons to turn pages which can be handy since this Kindle easily fits in a palm.
Although this is a 4GB model, there is only about 2.5GB available to download books, which is still sufficient for hundreds or thousands of books.
Despite the cons mentioned, I like it fine because it's light, allows me to read in the dark, I can purchase Kindle books and magazines easily on it with a WiFi connection. It supports comics too but they are grey scale.
Recommended if you read Kindle books regularly and don't like holding a heavier tablet to read and don't like charging your device every other day. Great companion on your vacation because it is light and should last you a week on a full charge, likely more if you read without the screen light.
