The manual says to unscrew the legs to level up the shelf, but I found that the shelf was too wobbly unless the legs were screwed all the way in. I used shims instead. Otherwise it does the job and looks nice, but I wouldn't say it's worth the almost $200 price tag.
Epic failure of a simple concept that a middle schooler in wood shop could have better executed. Legs weren’t machined correctly so they crossed threaded when attempting to screw on the threaded posts. One threaded post didn’t have threads at all so it was effectively a three legged table that fell over with any weight, let alone a computer monitor. To add insult to injury, the package happily stated the manufacturer will get back to you to fix any problems. All I get was deafening silence. If I could rate into a negative range I would.
As a quick update, and for complete transparency, one of the owners of the company did reach out to me to apologize as well as send me a new product. The gesture was very much appreciated; however I had already purchased another item and declined the item.
Overall, I really like this monitor stand. I got the longer option so I could fit my two monitors on top and so far I think it looks fantastic! It's a bit longer and narrower than I imagined, but that's my fault for not bothering to measure and just bought it off of my estimations.
Set up was a breeze. It's basically just screwing on the legs and you're done.
The color is pretty much what it looks like, and the finishing on it makes it all very smooth. I can run my hands across all edges and sides and it feels oh-so nice.
But what it comes down to is, would I buy it again? Mmm, while I certainly hope I don't have to replace this one anytime soon, yeah I probably would.
Would I recommend it? For sure. Feels sturdy and I really enjoy how great it looks on my desk.
Overall, I like the stand. It accomplished what I wanted it - a stand for my double monitors. It’s sturdy with 5 legs, easy to put together, and looks nice. Not too large or too small.
However, the packaging of the company that sold the stand was not the best and allowed for scuff marks on the surface of the stand. The top surface of the shelf is packaged with cardboard immediately touching it - no protector or cushion in between. This allowed for the paint scuff marks you can see in the photos as well as where the pain scuffed on the cardboard. It’s not the worst thing in the world, but you can clearly see the paint scuffing which visible and disappointed me a bit. I wished they would’ve protected the surface of the shelf with something. Even a thin piece of styrofoam or plastic wrap would’ve done.
I thought this would be a flimsy piece of laminated particle board, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this to be a solid piece of wood. It took me all of three minutes to attach the legs and I placed my 55" TV on it and was able to watch TV with my sound bar placed under the pedestal stand. No sagging, scratches or anything. I am very impressed, so much so that I will probably get one for my computer monitor.
I'm a fairly tall person and when I sit up straight at my desk I'm always a tad taller than my monitors. I found myself slouching a little to ease the effort on looking slight down at my screens. I decided to buy this riser and I love it already after one day! My monitors are now elevated to a comfortable viewing position and my desk looks more organized and feels like I have way more room. My only grievance is that I feel like it was a little on the expensive side. It seems very sturdy to, I guess it evens out there.
I am quite pleased with this monitor stand. It's quality, solid construction, packaging and ease of assembly are all outstanding. It allows for storage beneath it and encourages me to keep a neat and tidy work space. The packaging alone is award-winning as for shipping it is placed securely in a custom-fitted box and then placed in a shipping carton. The informational inserts on assembly are high quality and very clear. Do yourself a favor and buy this monitor stand first. In my case, It replaced two white Styrofoam blocks that tended to shed and I have not regretted it for a second.
I recently started working from home and was in need of some sort of stand for multiple monitors. Most stands don't offer enough space for two large monitors, but this one works perfect. As you can see in my picture, this stand allows me to position my monitors evenly apart without worrying about either one being too close to the edge. Also, the height is perfect for my laptop where everything is visible. Thanks Office Oasis!
Purchased this product in August 2020. Writing this review in Jan 2021. Over the 5 months, numerous cracks in the wood have appeared over time. I've only placed two 24 inch monitors on it, and neither of them are particularly heavy. I was even careful with the spacing, trying to put the two monitors on each end of the riser as far as it could go, but the cracks still showed up. For $85, I expected better.
