I strongly urge against buying this product. I used it ONE time after a shower and it made all of my hair clump together, so I washed it out. I really did not want to wash my hair 2 times in one day, I usually only wash it 3x/week. When my hair dried it felt exactly the same as before I had washed it and it dried all clumped together again and never fully felt dry. So I decided to just leave it after doing my best to try to style it since it didn’t look terrible but it felt like a big sticky mess. I didn’t want to wash it for a third time in a single day. When I woke up the next morning it was all clumped back together and had a very unpleasant feeling and just looked like I hadn’t washed my hair in weeks. So I washed my hair again, TWICE. This time a little bit of the product came out, but not completely. I normally have very soft, silky hair and it felt like straw even after 3 washes and conditioning. Just a reminder that I only spray this product in my hair ONE time. I have used other salt water sprays and I have never had this happen. I am completely terrified to ever try another product like this. I hope no one else has this experience.
I'm in love with this product!! I was so sad when ulta stopped carrying it but happy to find it on Amazon!! It is the only thing the helps my hair have beach waves without a crunchy gel feeling. It also smells great and I use it daily with no harm or damage to my hair.
I have tried every way imaginable to use this product. It feels like HAIR SPRAY (and smells like hairspray). So, when I sprayed it all over the first time, on wet hair, I could NOT run a brush thru my hair. I had to re-wash my entire head. Then I've attempted incredibly light sprits at my roots. Anymore then a littleeeeee bitttt and yu agan cannoot run your fingers thru. It's glue-y. It feels like "residue pump hairspray." Not any sort of sea salt spray to render "soft bouncy waves" -- you'll not get "softtttttt anything." and the alcohol, which is a distinct smell, also dried out my scalp. For the first time ever I started to see scalp dander. I'm not really sure how to use this and get good results, I tried everything.
Ordered this based on the reviews since my favorite texturizer has been discontinued. The bottle arrived with cap broken and some of the contents had leaked out. The minute I pulled it from the package was an overwhelming scent of cheap suntan lotion. I couldn't even bring myself to try it since I didn't want to smell like that all day. I'm very surprised people like this as I found the smell disgusting and sent it back.
I recently discovered sea salt spray (another brand) after I cut my long hair to chin length. Love the look it gives! I've used Hask conditioner and love it, so I thought I'd give their sea salt spray a try. Yikes. It has a horrible smell, not a pleasant coconut scent. The worst part is that it is so sticky in my hair. It feels like cheap 80's hairspray, for those of you who remember that stuff! The liquid separates in the bottle, which is not like other brands I have seen. Even the next day my hair feels dried out, tacky and like it hasn't been washed in a week. I will definitely be switching to a different brand.
This product gives new meaning to texturing your hair. It was definitely a new texture. I would equate my hair after using this to a 28 year old barbie that's been in the attic the majority of the time. It took 3 showers before my hair was back to normal and brush-able again. I thought maybe it was just my hair type so I used it in my boys hair so not to waste my purchase. That was a mistake.... All three of them ended up looking like narato from Yu-Gi-Oh. I'm not sure what type of hair this is for but it's definitely not a good choice for your typical medium thick, slightly wavy, dark blone/light brown hair.
I've wanted natural looking waves for years but have never found the right product. Well, this is it! Spray it on to gently combed damp hair, scrunch with fingers, and let dry. If I get a few too many flyaways, just respray. The hair does feel like it has product in it, but it is a touchable product and I do love the scent - light and tropical without smelling like tanning oil. My weekend hair is super easy now.
This is the only texture spray that leaves my normally straight/slightly wavy hair with really wavy hair throughout. I spray my slightly damp hair with this and once it dries, the hair is wavy and remains wavy for days in between washes. I’ve tried a number of drugstore and high end texture sprays but have not found one as good as this one. I’m almost done with my second bottle and will definitely repurchase!
