Es ist klobig, hässlig und unausstehlich unästhetisch. Ging bei mir sofort zurück. Montage erscheint einfach.
I can't say for certain but I am going of all the evidence I have gathered. I built a new computer since I was able to get my hands on a 5800x. I installed this by following all instructions and even watching a few videos on YouTube on how to install it. Installation was pretty straightforward since having an AM4 socket all you had to do was remove the stock brackets and reuse the existing backplate. So I used the little plastic standoffs, screwed in the metal cross brackets, attached the heatsink and alternated screwing down the heatsink until it stopped (springs and the way the screws were are supposed to prevent overtightening). A YouTuber contacted Scythe when I commented on his video about my issues and they said it's impossible to overtighten them. However if you look at my photo, I believe something was not manufactured correctly. The corner of the heatsink was so tight it left a grove of the cpu lid that my fingernail gets stuck on and the stamp on the lid of the cpu left a nice mark right next to it. It also marked the top of the cpu lid with the circle right in the middle. I have never had a heatsink leave visible damage to a cpu lid and vice versa.
Everything worked fine for almost 1 month then all of a sudden when on the Windows desktop my computer just went blank. I tried starting back up and was greeted with a "-" in the top corner. My computer wouldn't boot, I could occasionally get into the bios but that was as far as I could go. My brand new MSI Tomahawk motherboard was throwing a VGA error. So I put in a spare graphics card and it was still throwing that error. So I got a new motherboard (same model), swapped everything, and still was getting a VGA error, so it wasn't the motherboard
I tried everything: 2 power supplies, 4 sticks of RAM, you name it. The only thing I couldn't test was the cpu because this was my first AMD build in a very long time so I didn't have any spare processors around. So it was a bad cpu. Good luck finding one in stock and I wasn't going to try to go through AMD for a warranty since I need a working computer so I sent everything back and went with Intel and a different brand cooler.
Was it the Scythe heatsink that cause my cpu to die? I can't be sure but I have never had a processor just up and die on me. I am sure some people will disagree with me but we can all have different opinions and experiences.
Manufacturer claims I am at fault for using non-compatible parts with this product. The part in question is an Intel Core I9 9900K which uses an LGA 1151 CPU socket. Manufacturer refuses to take responsibility in their defective product which has damaged other customer's PCs including AMD based systems. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, IT WILL DAMAGE YOUR SYSTEM. I now must purchase a new processor and motherboard because manufacturer claims Intel LGA 1151 is not compatible and will damage it's hardware.
Manufacturer guarantees its products to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for two years from the date of purchase. You purchased the product within the two years.
Warranty for this product is provided only it the product is installed properly and used for the recommended environment/usage. It seems that you have no installed the cooler properly for it to damage your cpu and motherboard. The manufacturer is not responsible for any other damages caused to hardware/software or data due to misuse of this product. We are responsible for the replacement of the cooler you have purchased but not your cpu and motherboard.
No warranty service is granted for this product due to a compatibility issue.

So I got three of these coolers because of the reviews and price.
A very good candidate CPU cooler for my cousins that I upgraded their computer to the 10th gen Intels (i5-10400f) for work, school, and gaming. As their existing CM 212 cooler mounting bracket was not compatible with the Z490 motherboards.
The cooler was easy to install, just take it easy to tighten the cooler down. The cooler itself is very nice and my favorite of them all is the provided screwdriver is great! My cousins actually needed a screwdriver for their home DIY.
Usually, after assembling I do a stress test (P95) for 3 minutes to check I seated the CPU cooler correctly. Noticed the last or third unit installed is higher than OEM fan temps (over 80c). The other Fuma 2s never went over 58c. The Slim fan on the third unit wasn't working in PWM mode whatsoever. Doesn't work with the provided splitter, and to other chassis fan connection separately. To make it work I needed to change the fan settings from PWM to DC and set them to full fan speed. Wasn't happy with the product if there's a 33% chance I will receive a defective product and with this not sure how long the units will last. My cousin that received the defective product is not happy as well, because it is LOUD! She waited for 2 months for me to assemble it (I live far from my cousins) and if she wasn't family I would never ever recommend Scythe products for personal or business. Since she's family and understands our situation and the downtime to do an RMA or wait for a replacement for another cooler and for me to drive back to install. She will stick with the defective Fuma 2.
Stick with Noctua, Cooler Master, and BeQuiet. I bought many (double digits) for my family and friends for new builds and upgrade. No DOA product so far.
Scythe is known for having multiple coolers on the market that compete with some of the best air coolers on the market, for a budget friendly price. I purchased the Fuma 2 because of the rave reviews, but was disappointed not once, but twice.
My first unit had a sizeable scratch right smack in the middle of the surface area. I returned it and got a different unit (from Newegg). My unit from Newegg had a very similar scratch, but more off-center. Hard to tell whether these scratches will affect performance, but if you're nitpicky and want a nice smooth surface - this is not the unit for you. I've owned multiple Noctua coolers in the past and have never had them arrive with anything close to what I've seen on my Fuma 2 units. Was I just unlucky to receive two with imperfect surfaces?
Scythe customer support in North America is a joke. Not only they don't provide LGA1700 installation kits for Scythe coolers but they also failed to deliver them to the market as of December 1st, 2021. All other reputable CPU cooler manufacturers have already delivered their solutions weeks ago. Should have went with Noctua NH-D15 chromax.Black from the get go and this is what I am going to buy now. If you buy Scythe you will be left stranded by the Company which doesn't seem to care at all.
Firstly, this thing will take up more space in your case than you think. It's huge and heavy. Also the screws are cheaply made and will strip and cross thread in an instant, there literally should be a warning in the instructions. Overall, very disappointing and I returned the product.
