I hooked it to the seat in front of me and strapped a pretty heavy phone into it, a Pixel 7 Pro with an Otterbox Defender case. I was able to watch movies just as I had planned. It didn't seem to be straining at all holding the phone, and it folds so compactly to keep in your pocket when not in use. I just ordered a second one for my wife . . .

I once flew to Hawaii (10 hour flight) with no entertainment. I counted on the airline and their system crashed. Since then, I always make sure I have shows and movies downloaded to my phone, but holding it gets very tiring and I don't like looking down at it on the tray all the time, either. So, when I saw this, I bought 2 for my husband and I for a trip to Mexico. It was a package deal, so we were on Frontier -- which does NOT have entertainment at all. So, phones to the rescue! We used these on our 3-5 hour flights and loved them! They easily attach to the back of the seat or the tray table as it’s stowed away. They are a bit noisy when you maneuver them into position, like click noise but it’s not too loud. There are so many ways and positions you could use this, not just in flight too. We even had a flight attendant ask us where we got them cause he thought they were so cool! Highly recommend! Will be taking these in a couple months for our international trip!

I can’t believe I waited this long to buy this wonder! I commute to work 45-60 minutes each way on a freeway bus. I was watching movies/shows on my phone, with my head bent, and my neck would starting hurting. I saw someone on the plane last month with this & asked them where they got this little guy from & of course they said Amazon! On my way home from the airport, I placed my order. Now this thing does make some noise twisting & turning it to the position you need it in. I’m sure it’s annoying but most of us on the bus have are earbuds on and can’t hear it. Hey, at least it’s not for the entire bus ride. I’d like to think it’s not as annoying as some people that talk on the phone the WHOLE bus ride! I haven’t figured out why sometimes when I twist it back in place it won’t fit back into shape. I have to twist it a couple of times to get it to collapse onto itself. If there’s a trick, can someone share it?

Haven't used it yet but, the holder can flip into so many different configurations, it looks like it can clamp onto anything. The clamp is spring loaded so we will see how strong the grip is. Besides the intended use in airplanes and with your computer, it could possibly work on car vent louvres. We will see when I travel in February. It is light weight so great for travel.
