Great experience both in-terms of design and sound!

Sony WF-1000XM3 is very good in-terms of sound, battery time and noise cancelling. I was worried about the quality before buying it but had a really good experience. These headphones are also recommended for business calls because of it's exceptional mic quality. Highly recommended!

Overrated pair of earbuds

Vacuum seal in the earbuds leaves my ears ringing. SOUND isn't the best as soundstage is so small, even with equaliser unable to replicate a sound like shure or Westone.
Unable to charge properly and pairing is difficult - instructions were bad in manual.
I'll be returning this and going for TWM2 instead.
Save your $$$ and avoid!

The fit is ok but they have a remarkable ability to free themselves with the slightest movement. Main gripe would be the connectivity and the regular bleeping . If I move more than a few feet away from source ,desktop or mobile, I will swiftly lose contact. Sound is clear and crisp. Disappointed and would try another brand when one of the buds falls out, as they surely will.

Looks great. Sounds great...so long as I'm not moving.

The ear contact is very uncomfortable, as if the designers never wore it for hours straight. The buds are heavier and dislodge too easily because the fit and grip is poor. The bad seal also negates any good ANR . Disappointing and i returned it

Don't get me wrong the sound quality is amazing, really top notch in my opinion, the bass hits hard and the noise cancelling is average at best.

Another problem is: the earphone is too big, maybe I have small ears which makes their size a problem, constantly falling off my ears which make me have to constantly push them back in.

It has great features which I can't review due to the fact that I have to disable them otherwise the earphones won't work properly. An example is : I have to turn the assistant feature off otherwise the earphones won't work by themselves. I.e if I want to wear just the right one it won't work if the assistant feature is on the left one.
If I keep active noise cancelling on it will constantly be turning on and off which will cause whatever I'm listening/watching to pause for 2 seconds make a sound and then come back on. It wouldn't be a problem if it happened once or twice a day but it happens every other minute.

In conclusion the earphones are terrible when you look at it as a whole. I trusted the Sony brand since I've always bought speakers from them but it definitely disappointed me. Can't wait for it to stop working so I can buy a new one.

Not as good quality sound as my Apple Airpods 2 Gen. Battery life much better. Huge in your ears, and huge charging case. Hissing sound in background when on phone calls. Clicking sounds in background when listening to video on laptop. Apple far exceeds it and I don't understand what all the Youtbe fuss was about in its favour. Paid extra and got the Apple Airpod Pros instead.

I have the Sony over ear headphones that are great. These are not. They don't stay in your ear, stay connected (Iphone 8+) or provide the promised sound or noise cancellation. I had to buy after-market earbud tips that help a little but I now have an expensive set of earbuds that I can't use if I am not sitting or lying down. very disappointed that Sony actually makes these and I will now always consider their competitors' products

The sound quality when listening to music was excellent. However, on phone calls, the volume at maximum was a little soft and when listening to GPS directions the volume was hardly audible at all. There was also a lot of static on calls and Bluetooth dropouts seemed random. With noise-cancelling off, it seemed to amplify ambient sounds over the sound of the voice for someone receiving the call. I can not attest the battery life as I did not wear them for long periods. On contacting support there were no improvements. I ended up returning them.

Right ear bud faulty

Disappointed that one of the ear buds arrived faulty. It had a red flashing light and after charging it did not have a blue light. Could not pair with Samsung 9+ because of fault. Have sent it back and I will re-order again and hopefully the next set will be OK.

While a lot of reviews do talk of this highly, I’ve found from personal experience, they are not very loud, the sound isn’t really good, the noise cancelling isn’t out of the world, and the biggest problem, battery life is around half of what Sony claims. Goes flat in 3-3.5 hours.

Extra features only create frustration

An incredibly frustrating earphone. It's too smart for its own good. If you turn it off, then accidentally touch it, it will turn itself back on and next time you try to use it you'll find it with a flat battery. Plus the environment detection is incredibly intrusive. If you're going for a run it'll constantly change modes with an annoying notification sound. Did Sony even both with field testing this???

Sound quality would’ve been amazing if I could hear it, couldn’t get them to stay in my ears - tried all the different sized buds twice and no luck. The design seems flawed to me as too my of the weight of them is on the part that hangs out of your ear so the balance is way off.
