2nd update: after a month of use I found that sounds much better if you connect tv with optical input. Also you can not connect this with an USB-A male to male cable with a computer. Someone told me that we could, but no we can not use an usb cable to connect this. If we could then please let me know how? As the usb(pink light) mode is not an option to select without a usb-drive connected. It does play through an USB removable drive. Sounds really good with TV, do not waste money on Bose companions, this is much better to me as is clear, closer to original sound, has remote and a tons of options to connect. Optical sound really kills everything else.
UPDATE: The seller did not contact me regarding the scratches, so I am not improving the 1 star rating. But it will be unfair not to mention that I like the features and sound quality of the speakers. I like them more than Bose, so that explains a lot. Love the fact that I can just insert an usb drive to play songs and also pause play with remote. If songs have harsh recordings then I can lower treble with remote. So even with the scratches I will keep the product. Wish Amazon sold it direct and not through Mike computer shop, then they would have given some compensation for arrival with scratches. I can return but really like the product to stay without it for long :-) ----- The gloss finish is terrible, straight out of the box it had scratches all over the gloss finish. Strange that no one in the reviews ever mentioned this. Full of scratches and finger prints in day 1 only, which you cannot remove. Don’t know how the design people let this pass to production stage. Very sad to see this flaw in an otherwise good product.
This from someone who has run and helped start FM radio stations: The sound seems ok, but even getting to the point of hearing something was a prolonged exercise in trial and error because of several factors: 1. A huge sheet of paper comes with these speakers. Barely any instructions. Nothing in the manual to equate LED color with mode. You have to figure it out on your own and make your own manual. 2. The LED light is visible only at the right angle -- which is basically straight on. 3. We could never get bluetooth connected. a) Had to mess around to figure out if we were in the right bluetooth mode (if we even were). b) The BT Pair button on remote didn't work. 4. The manual does not even tell you what the bluetooth device name is. 5. Nothing to tell you what mode comes on when turned on. DECISION: Got it today. Returning tomorrow.
Could not get them to work. Very unintuitive. No directions. After 2 hours in tech support, worked for a while. Then after one brown out in my area, couldn’t get them back online. Computer never “saw” them. Finally I threw them out and for Logitech.
The speakers completely died on me within less than a year of use. Cannot power up the speakers. Had to throw them out. Which is really disappointing as they sounded excellent and I've never had any issues with previous Creative products.
I used them for maybe a month . They do have great loud sound. But some reason they stopped working. Even after unplugging and pugging back in, they just don’t work anymore. I haven’t blown them. And the volume isn’t all the way down. They just aren’t working for some reason. They’re broke after barely a month of use . ‘Maybe 3 weeks. Sucks
