Once I got the my desktop's apps and drivers squared away the sound was surprisingly good. Compared to my old Creative T20's no comparison. These blow the T20's away no problem. The buttons on the front are multi use so you will probably need to read the instructions to figure them out properly. The good thing is the instructions are pretty simple. The speakers are 2.75″ full-range drivers with a built-in digital amplifier. My old T20's came with a subwoofer which was soon defunct but the main speaker units (twitters and mids) worked fine for years. Only thing was didn't know what I was missing in the lows, since my woofer had gone out years before. AT my age 68 no buys speakers for thumping base, as long as it has some its fine. The T60 2.0's soon had me caught up on what I was missing which was more than I thought. Feel that the T60 2.0 has pretty clean sound for below $80.00 dollars speakers. Want thumping base go else where.
The Creative T100 2.0 Compact Hi-Fi Desktop Speakers fit my pc needs. The sound is decent for a 2.0 set. It would be helpful if the manufacturer would make the cords a bit longer. That would make placement easier. There is a big plus to this set and that's the remote control device. Easy to turn on and off as well as control bass, treble and volume from the remote. I'd recommend these speakers.
I have 12’ ceilings, watching TV from 10-12’ from TV — sound bounces around and is echoing around. Bought these to place on end tables by couch. Worked ok because of slight lag in sync of TV picture (lips moving) and sound. Bought Avantree Oasis Bluetooth transmitter and receiver ( 2 ) units for about $55 each Fairly simple setup - no lag -all in sync On Speakers turned down bass all the way - vocal speech excellent, plenty of bass for movies - no echos !! Easy to change settings with remote - speakers sound fine with my ears - reviews have too much emphasis on specs and laboratory type “listening” overthinking it
Overall, great speakers and you can't go wrong purchasing these for most activities outside of extreme gaming.
I thought I'd try to run the optical line from my computer to these and it didn't work. It really is only for PS4 according to CL. I messed around with it for a bit but eventually gave up on it. Maybe it does work, I wasn't able to get it working quickly. These only serve me to keep from donning headphones on and off throughout the day.
Pretty strong value, though the bass is very weak. The sound lacks fullness, but does provide excellent clarity. I'd recommend it if you need something at a lower price point, but don't want something that sounds tinny or buzzy. There are definitely better audio setups -- just not many in this price range.
The sound is wonderful. The remote is not intuitive. You have to activate it each time you use it. There is no on/off button. I have accidentally changed inputs while trying to adjust volume. If you set it at the highest volume you can stand and then adjust the volume with the computer everything is great.
I think they sound great compared to other speakers with the same specs, these being 80watt speakers. There is a clear distinction in the sound depending on the input you are using, I only used aux, and optical. They are large desktop speakers standing at about 6in or more, and look and feel well made.
Using these speakers for video conferences, music, and games. For the price more than capable in handling this range of uses. The EQ presets have sound fidelity, and if you want tweak the bass or treble it's very easy to do through the remote. My only knock is the beep sound they make when going into "sleep mode." I imagine there's a way to adjust this. I'll figure it out, in the meantime, I just put the speakers in standby mode and the intermittent beeping stops. Worth the money.. would recommend buying.
