Well, I'm both a little impressed (with how quiet it is, how efficient it is and the parts that came with it) and a little disappointed (with the lack of flow) I bought this 2650gph pump (at 80w) to replace a 2450 pump (unning at 400w) because it allows you to turn down the flow .. I only need about 1800-2000goh right now, but will expand the system and need the full 2650. Something my other pump, which runs at full speed all the time, doesn't allow ... Well, instAll was easy and it came with nice connection options, the best I've seen. Controller is easy to use and the pump is near silent. But, it only flows about half as much as my 2450gph pump. .. and that was with half of the old pumps flow bypassed to the sump..... So, more like a 1/4 of the actual flow. H What a bummer. If it actually flowed 1500-1800 at 2' head, this pump would be perfect. Now, back to searching
For some reason the pump leaks occasionally. If I take it apart the reassemble the leak reappears after a few months. Value for money would be great if it did not leak. Very quiet. Might be the internal O-ring but could not find replacement parts on the Hygger web page.
This pump would be fine in submersible configuration. If you need it for that, it's a good value for the money. However, in external configuration, the cheap, flexible plastic body construction causes it to leak around the main seal if there's any small amount of torque induced by the piping. Returned.
I had this pump hooked up for about 5 months now. Worked great, very silent, controller works great and feed mode is fantastic. I went downstairs and my fish tank was all over the floor. I figured out the seal on the body of the pump have out and leaked my whole tank out and killed my fish. I do not recommend this product.
It works...sort of. The intake plastic casing doesn’t sit flush and it leaks. The problem is that this part of the casing isn’t warped and it isn’t missing the o-ring. As a submersible it would be fine, but I specifically bought this to pump water from one location to another. Disappointed.
Pump works great, controller works great, Fittings need to be over tightened to keep seals from leaking and eventually break, the plastic to attach to PVC is also too thin which splits. Cannot purchase replacement parts. Different models also have different connection fittings. Would be great if they would make the fittings more durable. used six pumps in one year.
