I just bought this to go with the brand new 64oz cotton candy colored IronFlask bottle I bought. I just put this on last night and this morning I noticed that the bottle where the carabiner sits is scratched up. So now my pretty brand new bottle has all of these scratches on it and it really bums me out. Took the carabiner off of this one and will on the other one I bought for my new bubble gum colored bottle so I don’t mess that one up too. Hopefully this warns others to take that off if they don’t want to scratch their bottles up.
This was a total disappointment! I used it on my brand new Ironflask and after 6 uses the plastic ring that goes around the neck of the bottle split in half, rendering the entire handle apparatus unusable because the only thing holding the handle to the bottle is the elastic, and that's not strong enough and tries to slip over the bottle neck. I have hand arthritis and I bought this to keep from having to try to grab the bottle with my hands--but now I'm back to square one.
This is a great product *idea*. Love the paracord. Makes for a stylish yet comfortable handle. Easy to carry. However this product needs to be made with better quality. What's the point if it's cheaply made and can't hold up for 40 minutes? I received the product in what appeared to be great condition. I placed the cord and the plastic ring per the package instructions. Easy to put on. 40 minutes later, while the water bottle was on the counter, I hear a sound. I look over and the ring had spontaneously snapped as seen in the picture provided. It wasn't even being handled or touched. Poor quality. I've asked for a replacement. We'll see... If it breaks again, I'll know it is truly a poor quality product.
I ordered this to go on my 32oz wide mouth Iron Flask water bottle. I liked the color and it matched my bottle very well. I used the instructions to put the handle on the bottle. It was somewhat difficult to get on. I assumed that just meant it was not going to fall off. The plastic ring broke just after a couple of days. I did not use the carabiner or the paracord handle to hang it from a backpack or anything like that. I did hold the carabiner and paracord down when I drank out of it, so neither would hit my face. That is not exactly misuse
I bought and installed one on my brand new iron flask. The next day the plastic ring was broken (the bottle never even left my living room and hadn’t been used). I assumed it was a fluke so I emailed iron flask customer service and they sent a replacement. Got it a few days later, installed according to the directions again. It lasted 3 days before breaking in the same way again. I brought the bottle out of the house once to work- I don’t swing it by the handle or use it roughly so I have no idea why it keeps breaking. Don’t buy this, just carry the bottle by the handle in the lid or purchase another brand of handle. It’s a waste of money.
I bought the iron Flask bottle with the Paracord holder, the holder seeming like a good idea at the time. On day one on my way to the gym I had the bottle in my hand (empty) and as I was walking to the door the damn thing just up and broke, bottle flying, ultimately landing on the ground with two lovely dents. Not out of the box more than 30 minutes. Now, we called amazon to express our dissatisfaction and much to their credit they replaced both the bottle and the paracord holder. Well after following the instructions on how to install the holder, for a second time, you guessed it, the holder broke and the new bottle when for a tumble. So now I have two dented bottles and two broken paracord holders. Now I have no complaint about the bottle per se but with the finish now damaged on both bottles I not sure how long it will be before rust develops. So, while the Iron Flask bottle is not an issue I would not recommend the paracord holder, unless you like having the bottle slip out all the time and get banged up.
Do not buy this flimsy piece of trash. I had it for all of 3 days on my bottle and maybe picked it up a handful of times by the actual Paracord and it broke. The crazy thing is that it didn't even break that way. My bottle was just standing there on my nightstand when I picked it up and noticed the plastic had been broken. It's that thin and cheap that the pressure of being stretched around the bottle must have made it snap. Ridiculous. I should've listened to all the other reviews that had the same thing happen to them. Save your money and don't buy this trash.
This handle was super convenient and I loved it, but it broke after literally two days. I wasn't doing anything wild either, just walking around my apartment. I absolutely love my Iron Flask water bottle, so I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this accessory.
UPDATE #1: I emailed Iron Flask about the handle and they responded quickly. They are sending me a new handle so I have added two stars for their wonderful and prompt customer service.
UPDATE #2: After receiving the replacement handle, it too broke after two days and now my Iron Flask has a big dent on the bottom from the drop to the ground. Customer service was still quick and gave me a refund, but this product is poorly made.
This is the worst water bottle strap I’ve ever purchased. I received my first one and it was already broken. I returned it and ordered another thinking it was just a bad batch. When I received my 2nd one I put it on my bottle and after two days the plastic ring broke….again. The durability on this product is terrible because the plastic ring is weak and thin. Purchase from another brand!!! I have no clue how all of the reviews are so good because this product is terrible!
