Awesome Watch!

The watch came as brand new, in a sealed box. Some of the reviews for different sellers had had issues with this. The charge lasts for about 2-3 days, with GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connected, and most of the apps running. If you turn "power saving" on the watch charge "should" last 5 days, so, I feel the 2-3 days is sufficient. I love the sleep monitoring, one of the features I bought it for. I bought the LTE version, and should have checked with my carrier (Consumer Cellular) who said they could only do LTE for watches that have a SIM card slot, and then it would be another device. So we have yet to use the LTE, but the wi-fi lets the watch work as a phone for that "007 spy feel", but we must have our phones nearby. We will be searching for another carrier to get the LTE feature.
The reason for a 4 star review instead of a 5 is this: there are no watch faces for left-handed people wearing the watch on their right hand. I wanted to turn the watch "upside-down" and have the buttons facing towards my fingers, as they do when you wear the watch on the left wrist for righties.
Otherwise GREAT watch for the money!

Great Phone with one major drawback - only 1.3GB usable storage (out of 4GB)

The Active 2 is sleek and stylish and comfortable. The LTE version offers ability to use basic smartphone features from the watch directly without having to have it tethered to my smartphone so I can leave the phone at home while going for a walk or jog or in the car or locker while doing other workouts. That is a godsend.

It activated just fine through Verizon and it linked up easily with my Samsung S21 plus through the Galaxy Wearables app. I hear these watches work best with a Samsung phone for best functionality.

The phone is fast and responsive to inputs and while I haven't owned it long yet, it can easily last well over a day on a single charge. I basically upgraded from a Samsung Gear Fit2 and the interface is familiar to me, so the OS is basically an evolution, which is nice so the learning curve is reduced.

It is lightweight and has low profile buttons and no thick surrounding bezel make it unobtrusive for general every day use and especially nice for working out.

There is one glaring flaw with this watch, however. That is the paltry 4 GB of "storage", of which with a clean, new OS, only about 1.3GB is usable. That may have been sufficient for a basic smartwatch from four or five years ago, and on my Gear Fit2, with its 4GB of storage, it had over 2.5GB of usable storage for music. But for a top end smartwatch with LTE capability, having only 1.3GB of actual usable storage is laughable.

You can free up a little bit of space by deleting watch faces, and maybe a handful of apps, although most are pretty useful and don't use much space to begin with, otherwise there's no way to gain more storage. With the available space you might be able to store 150 songs at best, but that leaves no room for adding apps or other options in the future. You shouldn't have to be storage restricted on a device like this and juggle music constantly on and off the device. Plus, just hope future OS updates don't make the installation size larger reducing usable storage even more.

It does support Spotify streaming, and if you're a Spotify user that is a good feature especially if you have a decent data plan. But otherwise you will be quite limited in the number songs you can store locally on the phone. I use a lot of ripped live concert albums which isn't readily available on Spotify, and not about to add $120/year subscription on top of an already $120/year add-on for adding my watch to my data plan.

Overall it is a very nice watch. Just for a top end smartwatch in 2021 the 4GB storage almost makes it unusable. I am considering the Galaxy Watch 3 instead because it comes with 8GB RAM and otherwise same specs. I just prefer the sleeker look of the Active 2.

The watch is under 2 years old and the battery has swelled and the watch no longer works. Contacted seller to exchange and they have washed their hands of it since they say it is out of warranty! Too expensive to only last maybe 2 years...

I got this watch mainly to see if it would help me with work while in the field. The ability to see who's calling or texting and being able to respond without taking my phone out of my pocket has been useful.

The battery will last all day when I remember to charge it at night. The app has done what I needed with an easy to follow user interface however in hindsight I wish I would've researched operating systems because this one does not support any Google apps and I previously was not using any Samsung apps nor do I really want to. That's on me though not Samsung or the product so still give it 5 stars.

Got this watch on black Friday and it definitely an amazing watch. I have had a Ticwatch before and it was okay, but they just have 4G LTE for Verizon and it was too big.
This Samsung watch is amazing and works with any android phone not only with Samsung galaxy. I have T-Mobile and it works great. The battery is also great and goes the full day. It is also water proof what makes it even better if you want to wash your hands or take a shower wearing it.

When researching this watch I mostly did so for the enjoyment of working out and not needing my phone. When attempting to use any sort of music on this device. It's practically impossible, the Spotify app forces you to pay for premium. But doesn't launch properly and when I finally was able to get it to work, it had so many bugs just simply trying to choose a song was difficult. With that aside, I decided to try and download songs from my phone which I have over 2000+ songs on. This is not allowed apparently since they can't verify a license, that I dont have. Since it was downloaded from CD's from over the years onto my PC. Then to my phone. Forcing me to have a workaround to use a 3rd party app to download songs from youtube. I despise this considering who knows how safe that app truly is and it seems like a huge workaround for something so simple.

The tracking is horrible, the only thing it seems to get right is the distance. The calories burned is not correct, it sometimes thinks i'm working out when i'm simply walking outside to take the trash out. I heart rate is not rising in these times. I use it functionally since it gives me notifications and i can still listen to music using the method described above. But very disappointed in this watch.

The watch is great. You do have to be intuitive with setting up as it does not come with instructions. I got the 44, did not expect it to be as big as it is, fortunately I am used to big watches. Love the convenience of being able to take calls, listen to music from watch. It's big but lightweight. The band it comes with is light but basic so if you like your watch to have some flair I would suggest buying bands.

Really like the way you can leave your phone at home and still receive calls and they are many watch faces that you can find for free or on sale the battery life is good. I hope to add some more to my watch collection from Samsung to Apple.

I love the watch and it exceeded my expectations. The only one challenge on the watch is the battery life. You will need to charge it every day but will last throughout the day and worth getting. I purchased the LTE 44 mm and I'm petite so glad I got tbe right size. The original band it came with is a large size but easy to purchase extra small abs inexpensive bands on Amazon. The set up was even easier so overall it deserves 5 stars.
