I bought these to use on long flights so I could connect my AirPods Pro to the inflight entertainment system. It certainly works, but a few things to note. First, you need to turn off bluetooth on your iPhone, iPad, etc., or they will "pull" your AirPods back after a while. Second, the volume is lower than expected. I wish there was a way to boost this. Even with ANC on, it was hard to hear certain movies comfortably. Could hear, but it was lower than I'd have liked. Finally, if you put the AirPods back in the charging case, you need to re-pair again. It isn't such a big deal, but I was expecting them to simply reconnect (spoiled perhaps by their connection to my iPhone), so had to long press, etc. again. But the convenience of using AirPods on a plane to watch movies - not having to take them off when you walk around or get tangled in any wires (or have the person next to you get tangled in your headphone wires) - this is really the value.
Bluetooth works fine in terms of pairing. However, audio output level is extremely low. Normally the volume level from my PC is ~ 4% for wired headphones. It needs to be 100% to hear anything from my BT headphones with this device. With my TV at 100% I cannot hear anything.
The next day, I now get no audio out from my PC. BT is paired. Avoid.
UPDATE: Vendor reached out and replaced the item. Now working fine, so rating updated.
