For our second child we decided to switch from the Gerber onsies to these. Did not regret the decision. We all understand kimonos are easier to put on so this is a huge advantage over Gerber onsies.
The quality is good and it doesnt stretch in the wash (so far, been using for 1 month now) and the thickness is great. It's not thick but it's thicker than Gerbers' which I found to be a tad thin. Will buy these again for sure.
We used 0-3mo size for our newborn (weight ranged from 7-10lb in the first month). Like all things baby related, I dont recommend buying newborn size. Just go straight to 0-3 month size.
I love these onesies. The kimono style is great for newborns since you don't have to pull the onesie over the head. The fabric is soft and a slightly thick so perhaps not the best for hot temperatures but the quality is great. The sizes are off so I RECOMMEND SIZING ONE OR TWO SIZES UP! They are more of a lose fit in terms of width than slim fit.
I love these onesies! They are a really nice smooth and soft cotton, I believe it’s a combed cotton. Very well made. Much nicer material than your basics from Carter’s or Gerber’s. I’m surprised some people reviewed them as poor quality. I think it’s great value! I’ve washed mine dozens of times and they held up great. I just bought them again in the next size. I also bought the tank top onesies and long sleeve kimono onesies because I loved them so much. The only thing I noticed is the pattern fabrics are not quite as thick as the solid colors.
My baby is only 7 weeks old. But after reading the reviews I ordered the 6month ones. They still fit her, and I think she will be able to wear them until she is about 4 months old. They do run small, so I don't think she will be able to fit in to them at 5 or 6 months. The material is very good, thick but not too thick, keeping my baby comfortable during summer months. Perfect for layering too. I put her sleeper onesie on last night without taking the kimono off.
I hate onesies for newborns because you have to pull them over their head and they’re so floppy when they’re so young. It’s hard to feel like you’re fully supporting their head and neck while trying to pull a onesie on. So these are great!!! You can lay it down, lay your baby down, and then snap it up and go! These are a must for infants!!
