Item arrived damaged. Clearly seems it was damaged prior to transport/delivery as opposed to in-transit. For the money that is spent; this sort of things shouldn't be happening as its very disappointing given how functional the product is.
Although pricy compared to other book stands sold by Amazon this stand is excellent. It is light but quite stable and adjustable at several angles . It is too early to tell about its durability but the wood and metal which is made of looks of good quality. Recently I had bought two books stands made mostly of plastic material. They were terrible and had to return them. I am glad I bought this book stand . It is great.
This is a really good product, in my opinion. It looks good (way better than the Galactic Empire-looking plastic-and-metal ones you can also buy on Amazon). It's light and sturdy and comes all in one piece, eliminating the need of assembling it together. The only problem I have with this product is that the sill for the book is not that wide (about 1,7 cm).
This is a much better adjustable book stand than other products. I sent one lightweight product back because it was not easily adjustable and did not come face high. I read extensively and needed a stand that would help alleviate the neck strain. Although I need a lap tray across my chair for this stand, getting a book to eye level is possible. The prongs that hold the book pages also work well. The prongs are long, so they hold even paperback books down including when there is significantly more pages to hold down on one side or the other.
Now, after I unpackaged it, I finally understand why this thing cost about 50 dollars. It’s so sturdy and well-made, I can adjust both the height and angle, which makes it better than those that are non height-adjustable. Worth my money
I attached two pictures for you to see the mind of book it holds. I'm taking classes for medical coding. This book in the picture has just over 1,300 pages. So it's a big heavy book. This the 2nd stand I've bought on Amazon because the first time I went cheap and then this book wouldn't even fit. It held my smaller books, but I'd still get neck pain because it wasn't adjustable, it just held the book. This one has several height levels to prevent a stiff neck, I absolutely love this one. It's on the heavier side, which is good, it's very sturdy!! I read tons of reviews trying to find the perfect stand, ya'll this is the king of all stands!! Honestly if my desk was bigger I'd buy two more so I could have all my books out at once, since I flip through them constantly. Must buy, you won't regret it!!! Love it!
This book stand is what I have been looking for , for the longest time! The level can be adjusted so you don’t have to bend your neck down so much . My Granddaughter uses it to hold books and even her IPad on her wheelchair tray. Thank you , A+!!
I love this bookstand so much... i can bring it to eye level, so it doesn't strain my neck. It holds smaller books and larger books nicely. And it's also nice to look at :-)
For the perfectionist out there, yes, some scratches at the bottom, but I don't care. I LOVE this book stand. My husband is jealous. He's waiting for his stand to break (his is from a different company and doesn't have height adjustments) so he can buy another one of these for himself.
