The concise version is that I really wanted it to be awesome, but unfortunately it just came up short.
The long version is that I have been looking for a good shampoo/conditioner combination as my hair is getting thinner and feels more brittle the older I have become. After going with the "green bottle" stuff for the last few years, I came across this as I was looking at placing an order and based on the reviews I thought I would give it a try.
My first impressions were that the shampoo smelled nice, but did not have the same "tingle" that the green-bottle stuff left my hair with and I thought it worked pretty well as a shampoo (however for the money I was hoping for something more).
However the conditioner is flat out terrible. It is super think, almost like a lotion going on and while you do get some of the "tingle," it comes at a high cost. After scrubbing my hear for what seemed like forever (I actually thought my wife was playing a trick on me by putting more in my hair over the top of the shower as I had my eyes closed, but alas no. It is just that hard to wash the stuff out. I might have been more ok with that had it actually conditioned my hair, but unfortunately it left my hair dry and I am fearful that it would have a damaging effect should I continue using it. I will be headed back to the green bottle stuff, tea-tree stuff.
This shampoo and condition makes you feel very comfortable. The shampoo is very soft, and the condition is on the thicker side. I've always suffered from dandruff as a result of both dry skin, and a skin disorder relating to it. I've tried many different shampoos and conditioners and methods to try and help my issue. Keeping short hair helps, and so does knowing what product to use. I highly recommend these products. Just make sure to condition every day and only shampoo 2-3 times a week.
Peppermint smell is invigorating, and really cools the scalp, especially the first time using it. Shampoo cleans hair well, but it strips my hair a bit too much. Conditioner is nice and rich, leaves hair smooth and easy to manage.
