I really like the purple version of this and use it every day on my right thumb stick. It helps tremendously stopping that swinging aim effect when playing shooters and helps improve your aim when used for a long time. It took a while to get used to and now I have, I think I could use the black ones. (Used purple for around 4/5 months). The only downside is that I ripped one of the purple ones on day 1 trying to fit it to my pad. It’s a very tight fit and not the easiest to do. I wish they were sturdier and less easy to rip, or more were provided in the pack. Overall a good product. Just take extra care when fitting.
The thing works. Maybe too well for me. On the aim stick I needed to increase sensitivity to cope but like the overall feeling. However on the movement stick it's not good and I needed to remove. I could not sprint!
Simple solution but not perfect. I will use only on the aim stick. That said not sure how it will feel when plying a different type of game.
These take some getting used to and aren’t going to be good for all games. I use them for locating my PCI on MLB The Show and not dropping it entirely out of the strike zone especially on low pitches. For that they’ve worked great. You lose some range of motion as I expected, but for this specific application that’s not a bad thing, it stops me from chasing pitches out of the zone. They almost certainly need to be coupled with thumb stick extensions due to the increased effort required. They start to soften up after you use them for a while and you regain some extra range of motion in the thumb sticks. They’re extremely easy to install and uninstall so you don’t have to use them all the time. I’m sure FPS gamers could benefit from these, and I definitely have for MLB, but I could see why a lot of gamers wouldn’t like them.
I think using the ring on my right thumbstick alone is going to be how I end up using this product, for now I'm using the purple ones ;but don't think the density of the black could really negatively affect overall performance compared to the softer purple ones. I'm using these along side the Kontrol Freek thumbstick extensions and definitely don't think these could be used on stock thumbsticks.
Using the medium density currently and is more than enough. Playing COD MW and had sensitivity at 6/6. After adding this to the aim stick my new setting is 20/20 with a 0.9 Low zoom. Seems to be about the same in terms of aiming; however, I find movement a bit slow ... may need to go down to a low density version.
