I have ordered 2 sets of these. The first came with no directions and the loose parts were just tossed in the box. It wasnt rocket science to figure it out. The second one came this week. It was nicely packaged with the bags in a protective plastic bag and the parts were neatly corralled in a nice little bag, along with the instructions this time. I think the first one must have either been a return/damaged unit, as the charger didnt quite fit right and the suction cup was loose fitting. It still did a great job of vacuum sealing all the bags except one. The second unit charges fine and the suction cup fits snuggly. All in all, I will order this again. For me, it is fine to get the full set each time. I like the convenience of having one in the kitchen and one in the rv

Easy to use, but some bags don't seal well

It is fairly easy to use. The key is not to fill the bag with too much stuff.

I was very happy about this product since I could save the veggies for much longer. However, after using is for just a few days, I noticed that some bags don't seal very well. After I sealed them as much as I could using the tool provided, and sucked the air out completely, the air gradually gets back into the bags after two days. I only received the product a week ago, already noticed at least 2 large bags and 1 medium bag are having this problem. Still observing the other bags...

I purchased this item on January 6th, 2021. I have used this with multiple items I wanted to freeze, vegetables, meat, etc., items in the fridge like cheeses & veggies & it worked well. I did try to marinate a steak & seal it, there was a small amount of liquid that kept getting sucked into the unit & it wouldn't work, so that was a no go, but I wanted to try. Other than that, it was working fine. Skip forward to today, February 13th, 2021, I charged the unit this morning & while unplugging it, the whole charging port came out of the unit with the cable. I am out of my return window as of February 8th & can not return it. The suction unit obviously doesn't work now & I can't find any information as to how to return it to the manufacturer for replacement. If you purchase this item, I highly recommend getting the protection plan. I have already ordered smaller bags & can't return those after all of this, so another purchase will have to be made, with a protection plan. I will update this review if further issues occur after the next purchase, with the warranty.

We had never attempted to use a Sous Vide before so we bought these bags to try it out. We had just returned from the grocery store with a large pork loin and four nice size strip steaks. We put the steaks into four of the small bags and cut the pork loin in half and put each half in a large bag.

Charge up the pump before you try to use it, ours had a partial charge, but it works so much better when fully charged.

Be sure to squeeze out as much air as possible before you attempt to use the pump. The pump works well enough, but it doesn't move a lot of air and it will take a very long time to collapse the bag if there is excessive air in the bag.

Be cautious about setting the pump on a bag valve, turning it on and leaving it unattended. On the first use our pump came loose from the valve when we were not watching and it fell over and rolled off the countertop and fell to the floor. The round shape of the pump is a really bad idea, it should have square sides to keep it from rolling off the counter.

Our cooking tub is rather small, so we had to fold over the sealing flaps on the bags and insert them into the water with the vacuum ports and zipper seals underwater. Thankfully they didn't leak at all and the steaks came out awesome!

Overall the kit is a really good value for the money!

This runs out of suction power very quickly. If I have more than 2 bags to seal have to recharge between. Use the bag sealer to close bags completely. If not the suction will not remove all air. Do not use on bread, even if freezing. Do not use with liquid in bag. Works very well with fresh fruits and vegies.

Needs better instructions

item came with little to no instructions. The Suction cup has to be pressed against the seal on a flat surface firmly (make sure it sounds like its not getting any air). For the first 4-5 seconds nothing will happen but after that the suction from the bag will start. I was really confused on why nothing was happening and took some dumb luck to figure out how to use em.

bags are nice and high quality - the vacuum machine feels lot cheaper. I feel confident the bags wont pop or leak as they are a pretty thick plastic. This product is pretty amazing for the price. you get a lot of bang for your buck. and reusable vacuum bags will be a lot better for the environment and your wallet. I like how compact this whole setup is compared to an actual vacuum sealing machine.

Great for Freezing Meats and Veggies

I love using these bags for freezer storage and storing cheese. I don’t use sous vide at this time.

For freezer storage, removing the air reduces frost formation and freezer burn. Frozen meats taste much better, more like fresh. The same applies to frozen vegetables. Just need to be mindful of veggies that could be crushed by the vacuum.

Vacuum storage of cheese reduces mold growth when done in conjunction with safe handling practices. The large blocks of cheese from Costco now stay good until the last bite.

The USB vacuum pump really beats manual vacuum pumps! Unfortunately, the rubber base just separated from the pump during my most recent use. Not sure if that can be repaired or replaced. Thus, only 4 stars.

It's still early since my purchase of this kit. I have a mixed use for these. My primary use is for storing 3D printer filament. The largest bags fit full diameter reels and the next size down bags will fit half diameter sized reels of filament. Not sure if I will use the rest of the bags for food or just random storage.

So far, the best part is the really good suction of the rechargeable pump (sadly, not USB-C yet). I purchased another vacuum bag kit and the manual pump was partially broke upon arrival. Bags seem the same.

Sum it up. Great bags and really great vacuum pump. It's only been a few uses and a couple reseals of 2 bags...so time will tell. Happy so far.
