To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Keep in mind, my problems lie solely on me and the fact I should have done a bit more research before buying the game.
My biggest complaint with the game? There's combat, but we literally don't actually control the playable character during it. Yes, there are some little prompts of things like healing or special attacks we can hit a button to trigger our character to do at times, but they have cool down periods. So most of the time, you prompt the character into battle and then just steer them around while they mindlessly swing their weapon around. It feels somewhat lazy for "action combat" and I would have preferred them just doing turn based style if they didn't want to put the effort into action oriented combat.
The story is interesting, the characters are great, and the graphics are lovely. Seriously, everything else I've played so far about this game is awesome and everything I love about JRPGs, but I can't enjoy the combat (or take it seriously), hence why I took off 2 stars. Again, this is honestly my fault, I should have done more research because I probably would have settled for just watching a collab of the cutscenes instead of buying it if I had known.
Great game but I don't collect UK variants of games mostly US games if possible. I have included pictures of the game that I was sent and the picture in the add. Not worth doing a return but something I will remember in the future.
I'm about ten hours into this game and it's good but I'm smart enough to realize that this game is just candy for my central nervous system. It's nothing real or substantial that gives me real joy. I may finish it someday.
The image on the item’s page was a United States copy of this game. I received a European copy. I wouldn’t exactly mind this except for the fact that the spine looks completely different than United States copies so it’s going to look out-of-place on my shelf. Don’t buy if you care about that kind of stuff.
