To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This is a repeat order, have a few of these plugs. Handy with blow heater attached, for warm up of remote rooms can say (after turning on) Alexa, turn off <plug name> in 5 minutes. Or whatever time you choose.
Have a few TP Link products, so far been reliable.
As usual for modern electronics, each product MUST absolutely involve the creation of a new account with the maker, a registered email, and for this product, mysteriously, bluetooth (understandable) wifi (less understandable) and location enabled on your phone/tablet (totally not understandable). it's part of a growing trend towards absolutely every iota of information about our movements and our lives being monitored, the data sold and aggregated to form worrying insights on our lives the correctness of which we're not able to check as we don't even know WHO exactly possesses them. unfortunately, this is the society we built.
They are amazing little pieces of tech I have one on my fan so I just leave the fan dial on & alexa will turn it on & off when I want. My fairylights that light up the room also have a tapo plug & it's amazing aswell no need to get out of bed & wake my other half.
To set them up it's so easy just download the app and plug in the switch and turn it on connect it up to the wifi and ur done + you can use the app when ur away from home.
These adapters plug into the mains and then you plug the appliance you wish to control into the adapter. Then you have to set up a routine in the Alexa app to turn the appliance on or off at a specific time. I use them to turn off the TV set and the Standard Lamp automatically at 11pm every evening after I have gone to bed. However, I am bound to say these smart home devices are only as reliable as your internet connection! If your internet drops out at any point during the evening, then you can find the standard lamp or whatever is still on the next morning! It is advisable to tell Alexa to turn off the device when you go to bed so you know the command has been carried out. It does not matter if a device that is set to be turned off later is turned off earlier. If you forget to turn something off when you leave the room, in most instances your Alexa routine will turn it off for you. I would not use these smart adapters to control appliances in an unoccupied house as reliability is an issue. A mechanical time switch is much more reliable.
