Now I'm no audiophile so take what I say with a grain of salt if you need to.
I had one of those cheapo 2.1 setups I bought a few years ago for like $45. The subwoofer ended up buzzing all the time so I wanted to replace the set. At first I was looking at a slightly lower price tier but after looking at the speaker wattage I decided to give these a try, and boy was I surprised.
With these two speakers alone, no sub, output very loud and clear sounds. For your everyday computer speakers these are definitely top tier, maybe even a little overkill. Now to minimize latency I've only connected these to my PC using the 3.5mm jack so your mileage may vary using bluetooth.
The controls to switch between the modes is not the most intuitive imo since you gotta press the volume button (a separate switch would be better) and watch an indicator light. The volume knob is the only adjustable knob that has like clicky adjustment intervals (not sure how to describe it) instead of a smooth turning mechanism which I found to be weird.
Overall, very happy with the purchase, hoping these would last a long time before I need to replace them.
Just got them delivered and am putting through their paces.
First impression is that these have plenty of connection options, they look and feel very well built and the sound quality is decent. I just wanted better computer speakers but having bluetooth connection at this price and that look this good made me decide to order these.
Setting them up was simple, the power and usb ports were quite stiff and I had to use a lot of force to push the cables in. The USB cable that came with this is a Micro-USB at the speaker and has both a USB-A and USB-C end. Out of curiosity I tried plugging the USB-C connector to my Samsung s10 but the phone didn't handle usb audio. On my laptop usb audio was handled just fine. All the cables are only about 4ft long and I wish the usb and 3.1mm audio cables were longer, but I have other ones that are longer which will work.
Sound quality is decent, and I find it varies depending on the type of connectivity/input. Using the 3.1mm audio connector, the sound is slightly warmer than the other modes but weaker and I think it only used the analog signal from the 3.1mm audio output on the laptop bypassing the internal amp. In analog mode they sound marginally better than your cheap $10 passive computer speakers. The volume knob in analog mode controls the speaker volume output separate from the Windows volume control. In USB mode the sound is definitely much stronger and cleaner, not very warm but you can adjust bass and high tones separately, the sound image is clear at moderate volume but distorts pretty bad at higher volumes. It kicks out a little mid-bass but doesn't reach down to low frequencies, as expected for a 3" driver. I'm most impressed with the sound quality of these in Bluetooth mode for music, the bass seems to come alive a little more and does not distort at higher volume as easily.
I've listed to some FLAC audio, some high quality mp3s and played some video games, there is no noticeable latency in my opinion, which was one of my main concerns buying cheap speakers like this. In USB and Bluetooth modes the volume knob controls the Windows volume and when switching between input modes the volume levels are all over the place. I haven't detected any rattling or buzzing. The knobs themselves feel a little unfinished, kind of jagged edges but otherwise they feel premium.
So far really happy with these, will update if there are issues.
I’ve held off writing a review as I wanted to test these speakers thoroughly before I gave my opinion on them. First off I think they look pretty nice, I chose the black version and I think they look good with my setup. The sound quality is actually fairly good on these speakers (for the price that is) you can connect them using USB C, Micro USB, Bluetooth and AUX. I mainly use these speakers connected through AUX on my PC, PS5 and Xbox One. However I was having trouble getting these speakers connected through USB on my PS5 and Xbox One, they would connect but the volume would be too quiet and when I would go to turn it up, the speakers would change too AUX mode even though I didn’t press in the button to switch modes. My AUX port has never worked on my monitor so I couldn’t connect the AUX cord too there, the only way I could get these speakers to work with my Xbox One and PS5 was too plug the AUX cord into the controller which wasn’t ideal but still totally useable. They work great on my PC when connected through AUX or USB and I was even able too hook up a subwoofer too add a bit of extra bass. I actually found connecting a subwoofer to be really beneficial as for some reason when the volume and bass is set too high, the right speaker cone starts to shake and vibrate a lot more then the left speaker and it causes whatever noise is coming out of the speaker to sound a little bit distorted depending on how close you’re sitting too these speakers. Too fix this I turned the bass down a little bit and made most of the bass come from my subwoofer. I’m not sure if this issue was caused because of damage while being shipped or if a screw or something is loose inside but I definitely noticed it once I turned these speakers up for the first time. I’ve only used Bluetooth on my phone as my computer doesn’t have it but my iPhone found the speakers as soon as I switched them into Bluetooth mode. There’s definitely a sound difference depending on how you have them connected but I personally found having them connected through AUX sounded the best. I’ve used these speakers too watch Movies, YouTube videos Play Video Games and listen too Music. They we’re definitely a huge upgrade from the old speakers I used to use.
I was never expecting studio quality speakers for the price and even with the few hiccups I’ve had with these speakers I’m still very impressed by them and would definitely recommend picking them up if you’ve only been listening to things through your PC or TV speakers.
I was looking for some good speakers and luckily I found what I was looking for, these speakers are very good for video editing and for the price it is well worth it. I can also connect them via bluetooth from my iphone when I need to listen to music without having to turn on my imac. I highly recommend it
Parfait pour des enceintes de bureau, pour une ecoute purement musical, un peu trop de basses comparé aux aiguës, Niveau sonor max convenable, design classique, niveau control c est bien pensé et simple
