Do not buy this product! It states that it's "ultra low noise" but it's completely the opposite, even when there's only one that is plugged in it's still pretty loud. I bought five of them and it sounds like a jet engine when I turn on the power. I refunded every single one because it is honestly the most waste of my money. I would of gave it a one star however the fans are very powerful and blast a lot of air through the case but alas it has to go.
I replaced 2 old fans for these fans, and now it looks like I'm going to have to throw these out, I can' t take the constant noise anymore my computer went from being quiet computer to a constant loud drone all of the time. I've tried every configuration in the bios and the only one that make them quiet is to turn them off.
Disappointed with the description for these fans, will never buy this brand again
Well you only get what you pay for and at under £5 not a bad looking fan and that's as good as it gets.
My rear fan in the "CiT Vantage Midi Mesh Gaming Case" was getting a little rattly, but not unsoundly by any means (running 24/7 for 3 years), so I replaced it with the Arctic F12. This fan appears to be much faster, but the noise level was higher than the 5 other fans inside the case (cpu fan, psu fan and 3 other case fans)!!!
Not bother sending it back, but claims of low noise are unrealistic and I'm partly deaf in one ear.
edit: I suspect the noise is from the 1300rpm speed so I might refit and adjust speed in the bios.
SO, it is SUPPOSEDLY meant to be low noise, I tested this fan and another from the same company over a few months. On first use, it was silent, but literally same day and a few months down the line, it has been resilient to keeping up its irritating 'wurring' sound. As someone with short temper it has helped me learn to control myself from tearing my machine in 2 It is highly effective at its job, but not as the title states. it is not silent. but again, it is effective in cooling buy at your own demise
Very disappointed, when they labelled it as silent, I was hoping for better than this, my unbranded case fans that came with my NZXT case is quieter than this, I feel ripped off, i wanted a fan that was cheap but also quiet. Very disappointed, I don't want to be reducing fan speeds to have quiet noise, if that was the case i would have no had any case fans in the first place. Sad really
These fans were bought for a Fractal Design S case. And wow are they noisy. In my build they seem to make very little difference in temperature, and are the main source of sound despite having a noctua DH15 cpu cooler. If you can, do a bit more research and pay a little extra to get some better fans for the money! If not then they are fans and they do spin, so I guess they work. Just not as well as I'd like.
Don't like this fan as it makes more noise than the other fan which is quite annoying so I've had to under volt this fan to get the best sound performance out of it. It moves a lot of air on the other hand which is a plus
