I admit, I had read a few other reviews that suggested that these shorts were - at best - translucent. "How bad could it really be?" I thought. Well, it turns out that it could be very bad! I could hold these shorts up in front of my face while my wife - sitting across the room, inside, under normal lighting conditions - held up different numbers of fingers. I got it right every time. I'm sure that these shorts are great for keeping cool while playing sports on hot days. But you can achieve the same effect with the same level of privacy by not wearing pants. If you don't mind the fact that they're see-through, the pants fit nicely and were very lightweight and comfortable. But the fact that you have to wear a second pair of pants underneath these shorts in order for your teammates to not be made aware of the exact brand and cut of underwear that you own kind of renders this moot, no?
