Poor quality but not sure why

I have purchased these pens in black before in a 2 pack of the same brand to try before I bought this 12 pack of purple pens.

These are writing terribly compared to the 2 pack I bought. They seem to write fine for a few days and then start to dry out or something. The writing goes spotty in some places and isn't a consistent stream of ink and seems to drag as well. This has happened with at least 2 of the pens so far. I'm not sure maybe if they have just been sitting in inventory for too long, but I'm not overly satisfied at all with this particular purchase.

I included a picture. The top writing is when I started using it and the bottom is after a few days.

Sharpie is a familiar brand and tried these pens. They are difficult to write with! Unless you are holding it at 90 degrees directly straight up and down on the paper, it doesn't write well at all. If you hold the pen at an angle, the ink doesn't come out consistently on the paper like this - - - - - - - - -----

People usually hold a pen and write at an angle, so this pen was very disappointing. Returned.

Pens are fine for what they are -- but the whole point to ordering the assorted mix is to get a mix of colors, not to get 4 black pens out of 8. The add shows 2black, 2blue, 2red, 1green and 1purple. That's not what they're shipping and I wouldn't have ordered the mix if I had known they were going to stuff it full of black. The black pens are cheaper by the dozen if you just want black. If you need the colors, you're out of luck.

Not too sure if I have a bad batch of pens but the ones Ive tested have all written very harsh and are very scratchy. The lines are patchy and it feels as if im going to rip thru my paper.

Purple pen doesn't work at all

I love this brand of pens. I have several that I've purchased from Wal-Mart that work great. Out of this package, the purple pen doesn't click properly and hasn't since the beginning, but it also stops writing. It's almost as if the ink is empty, but it's a brand new box of pens so that shouldn't be the issue. Also, I can't unscrew the tip of this pen to check the ink on the inside. It's like the whole pen is defective. The purple pen was the main reason I purchased this box because that's a new color.

Worst Pens.

These pens are horrible. Especially the purple one. And it's sad because the purple one is the one I wanted most. I had another one of these 0.7 pens in black and it was very smooth to right and it was very inky. But less the 5 minutes after I got this, the ink was not coming out and stopped like every second I write. And it's not smooth AT ALL. And I opened the pen to see if there was any ink and there was a bunch of ink so I don't understand why no ink was coming out. I am very disappointed

I bought these because I have fallen in love with the sharpie gel pens and was excited to see they had a pack in my favorite color. This was my first time even using this ink color for this pen but out of the 3 I’ve used so far they have all randomly burst open leaving ink to go everywhere.

While the pens themselves were comfortable and easy to hold, all of the black pens aside from one would not write. I tried them on different types of paper and I could not get them to write consistently. The colored pens seem to work though, so I guess that’s a plus. I ordered an all black set of these as well and only two out of the four works on that one.
I was super excited for these pens, too, as a lefty it’s hard to find a decent pen that doesn’t smear as I write.
