To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I would have given 5 stars because it’s a great pan with a smooth, no stick surface. However, after just over a month’s careful and proper use— no scrubbing, no metal utensils and no abrasive cleaners- there is already a black spot on the surface, which means it won’t be long before this pan loses its efficiency. Too bad.
I came back to leave a review just because this thing is driving me so nuts. I’m not sure if this is a knock off green pan or if mine was just defective, but in under 3 weeks of use this pan has become the frying pan of terror. We previously bought a green pan from Costco that worked wonders for over a year, and are replacing this one with the Costco variety due to all the issues we’ve had.
The first week I only cooked in the center of it and had no problems cleaning it. After that everything became problematic.
The heat only works in the center of the pan, the remainder of the pan unevenly cooks food even on an oversized burner. No part of the pan is actually nonstick. It turned pancakes into a mess that sort of resembled food. Cleaning it is a problem because I didn’t want to scrape the surface, but things clung to it like duct tape. After much sponging the middle part of the pan also started to chip, which made the almost entire thing unusable.
We had the same sized (and theoretically same brand pan) from Costco with no issues. I wouldn’t buy this one.
