To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
So bought this for our son. so we could encourage him to be a bit more active. He is loving all the different setting to get it to work and do all the different things.I did have a little problem setting up the My Family option.
Buona smart band per bambini con una durata eccellente della batteria forse uno schermo a colori per quel prezzo sarebbe stato meglio . L app di configurazione non è così intuitiva anzi abbastanza difficoltosa . Impermeabilita ottima.
The Fitbit is easy to set up you'll need an account for parental controls and then for your child. Once they reach a certain age they can upgrade to a normal account where it sows more functions like goals whereas the child's version is more user friendly for that age. The charge and accuracy of the watch is good, there's different functions like being able to set alarms and fitness goals (minutes of exercise or steps goals). The screensaver can be changed with a range of quirky designs like space themed. The watch itself is way too thick and chunky for us though, on a wrist child or adult it just feels very bulky and in the way if it could be made thinner it would be a lot more ergonomic to wear.
First impressions of this Fitbit ace3 were good, we got the black design which looks slick from the front although I must admit that’s spoilt by the cheaper looking red buckle part at the back. The amount of holes on the strap is ideal as it means it can fit a wide range of sizes, it can actually fit both my daughters wrist and mine perfectly, although it was too small for her dads wrist which is understandable as it’s designed for children!
The watch face is customisable via the Fitbit app which you need to download and set up a free account in order to use. The display has various black and white design options to pick from, ranging from designs for younger children like a space ship and unicorn to just a clock and step count for older kids.
It’s easy to swipe up to get to the menu options which are timers, alarms and settings. Swipe down and they’ll see the battery life, date and time, daily step count, hourly step count and sleep tracker. It does also say it has some audio workouts on the app but that has “premium” written on them and when I tried to click to see how much they were for the purpose of this review it said they weren’t available.
Overall to be brutally honest I was slightly underwhelmed with this as was my daughter, it doesn’t have a colour screen and it doesn’t do as much as I was expecting it would given the hype around fitbits. Essentially it is a watch that fits a child that can also track basic fitness (not including heart rate) and sleep and can be worn underwater. If that’s what you’re looking for then this is a good choice. Unfortunately it didn’t interest our little one as she doesn’t care how many steps she’s doing and definitely didn’t want a bedtime reminder lol so I think it’s more for adults to make sure their kids are active than something you’d give as a fun present for a child. I’ve given 4 stars as it does what it says it would and has a good battery life but didn’t wow us with its features. I hope that’s helpful.
