It’s metallic and comes with extra o-rings. It’s supposed to last up to 3 years. Quality wise, better than the last one that I bought for $50 from another brand and didn’t last a year, made of cheap plastic material. This one was a bargain but let’s see if it lasts at least a year

Best shower head we've had to date. Inexpensive, works fantastic, easy to install, good pressure. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a massaging feature, but instead has a "misting" setting - which in my point of view is worthless. Still giving it a 5 star rating however. Buying 2 more for our other bathrooms.

Perfect hose length for dog washing, and fantastic pressure for powering the shampoo quickly out of long hair. We did use our own plumber's tape to secure threads to existing wall pipe. There were several extra washers included, and we never figured out what was supposed to be removed to increase water flow, but it wasn't needed.

So admittedly it's only been a couple of weeks since I installed this shower head but so far I'm really impressed. The house we moved into had a fixed shower head and we wanted to replace it with a matching (oil rubbed bronze) hand held shower. A lot of the hand held shower heads in this color have a plastic hose. We initially tried a Moen that had a plastic hose so stiff we returned it. Then we tried a Delta, also with a plastic hose that was passably flexible. However that one had a "pause" button on it that failed. This one not only has a very flexible metal hose but also has awesome water pressure. It does have what I believe to be a washer like thing you can insert to reduce pressure and save water. The only negative thing I can say about this unit right now is that the directions for installing the shower head don't even mention this washer (I'm just making an assumption that is it's purpose). Bottom line is this shower head was packaged better, looks better, feels better made, and functions better than the more expensive Moen and Delta shower heads we tried before this one. Anything changes, I'll come back and update.
