These diapers run big so consider buying a size smaller or secure them more tightly. We were confused why they weren't lasting without leaking then we realized it was a fit issue. With some slightly awkward adjustment they do last the night now, although the fit is still off. I do like having an eco friendly diaper that lasts the night.
These have been good so far - they're soft and seem absorbent enough. Just a note on the sizing, though, my baby was actually 4.5 lb at birth and these diapers would have basically covered her whole chest. They're just wildly not the right size for a 4lb baby. We used Pampers swaddlers preemie size and then newborn size instead. Now that baby is around 7lb and the swaddlers newborn size is starting to get tight, we're finally ready to switch to the Bambo diapers (and they're still a little on the large side). If they want to claim that their diapers fit very small newborns, they need to produce a smaller size than this instead of making up weight limits.
Having transitioned from the “old” and no longer available “green” bag Bamboo, I can say that these still hold up to the quality I was accustomed to. If it weren’t for the outer packaging difference and the lack of the bear design, I likely wouldn’t have noticed a difference.
They are super absorbent, virtually leak free, soft against the skin and also free from any perfume/chemical smells. All in all, a solid, trustworthy diaper that is well worth the “little extra” you pay for the peace of mind it brings in knowing I’m using a healthier alternative (for babe and the environment).
So I’ve used Bambo in a size 4 for my toddler for the past year and never had leaks. But my infant is in a size 2 and I’ve had several several leaks. I’ve confirmed he’s in the correct size. I’m going to size up and see if that helps. But super soft and great diapers. They’re my go to for my toddler for sure. To be determined for my newborn.
I really liked these diapers for quite some time. It has great absorbency through the night. And very soft/hypoallergenic. However the last time I ordered them in size 3 they sent me size 5… I thought it may have been a mistake possibly a one time thing… I submitted that to Amazon and they said they would send me the right size.. and this is what I received again. As you can see the sticker on top says bamboo nature premium eco-– friendly baby diapers size 3, 29 count. But the bag is clearly size 5… I would be happy to continue supporting this brand if I could know I would be receiving the correct size… would love to find a store that sells them
Overall I like the diapers for the clean and safe aspect of it but the size is weird- baby is around 10mins now (1 month) and size 1 barely fitting anymore yet when he was a newborn at 7 lbs it was too big.
My son is a heavy wetter!! I mean I This guy pees a river. I got It these as I expected to change less to avoid spillage over night. I still get leaks. It’s not so bad to keep me from reordering, so…. I like these just as much as pampers.
These diapers are the eco friendly ones we’ve have gone back to after trying a few other brands out there. A little expensive but I feel like they work well compared to others out there. Would recommend!
Really great diaper for my little guy except for as he got older and slept longer through the night >9-10hrs, the diaper would get pretty full and about 50% of the times soaks into the front of his pants and shirt.
