very challenging for a beginner, the description stated that the pockets are 2.5 cm and 2.0 cm, but it is actually less than 2.0 cm and less than 1.5 cm respectively. as it is hanging on ropes, i am able to angle the pockets upward to make hanging from then doable, rather than impossible for me.

This product achieves the goal of being a cheaper, functional fingerboard. Where it falls flat is the material and smaller details.

The material is very slippery - compared to several boards I've tried at home and the gym, this one is the smoothest. Chalking up hardly makes a difference with this board. For this reason the small crimp is extremely difficult to use.

The second issue I have is the edge radius (underneath the pad of your finger where it meets the first knuckle) - it is too large. Again makes it difficult to train the small crimp because there is absolutely no "bite" to help retain you. Your skin will just mold with the edge and slide off.

My advice if purchasing this product is to make sure that the holds are either level or have a slight 1-3 degree slope away from you, by sticking a thin shim behind the bottom of the board if mounting. I can only imagine the frustrations of it free hanging from a string.

Hang board was packaged nicely, preventing damage during shipping. The accompanying rope was slightly damaged, but also surprisingly good quality, and long enough to be versatile. Customer service was fast and friendly to get me a new rope. I was very pleased by the quality of the wood. Really nice to hang from, and though the price is still high it's the lowest I've found for the utility.

After only 2 weeks of use (a couple times per week, 5 sets of 10 second hangs with 1-minute break in between) I already see a difference in my crimp strength.

These things are great. They can be used as regular rings (for push ups, pull ups, bodyweight rows, etc.) and then easily turned around to really complicate things. I have been using them mostly for bodyweight rows with my finger tips, but have also been experimenting with mixed grips. I am not confident enough in my finger strength to do one finger rows, but I will use a ring in one hand and just a finger hole with the other and then switch. I will continue to experiment with these and no doubt, they will make my hands stronger! Thanks for a solid product.
