Una maravilla de producto, pero inservible en México.

Este producto es una maravilla y una decepción al mismo tiempo. ¿Por qué? Es una maravilla porque es un radio muy sofisticado, con pantalla reluciente de datos y capacidad para conectarse a internet y esccuchar radio de ahí. Técnicamente, el radio no tiene mancha, es excelente, con muy bien sonido. La mala noticia es que es para uso EXCLUSIVO del servicio de radio privado SIRIUS. Y el enorme y triste problema es que dicho servicio aún NO está disponible en México (al menos desde el 2022). Y vaya que lo intenté. Quize buscar el servicio en una pagina con terminación MX. Nada. Entré a la página gringa y hasta hice chat con el soporte, que nomás no me pudo ayudar. Sí intentas hacer una suscripción a SIRIUS, no lo vas a lograr porque te limita por no ser de EE.UU. No sé sí sirva de algo usar una VPN para suscribirse, pero podría "tronar" a la hora de usar la cuenta en el radio, porque se encuentra en México. De hecho hice varias pruebas y no me reconocía la cuenta. Así que el radio se vuelve automáticamente inútil, a pesar de ser excelente. Sólo espero que en un futuro la empresa SIRIUS tenga el servicio en nuestro país, porque de verdad las opciones de estaciones de radio por internet dedicadas son muy atractivas. El radio tiene una grabación predeterminada que te anuncia los canales que puedes escuchar de SIRIUS. Y todos se oyen muy interesantes. Es una verdadera lástima, de verdad, es un gran radio que NO se puede usar en México. :(

I had an old ‘boom box’ type unit with a plug and play radio with a lifetime subscription on it. They were literally going on 15 years old. I saw this and liked no antenna was needed and it was half the size. I knew my subscription included streaming so this was easy to set up as I also already had an account with a username and password. Sounds very good. It’s not audiophile levels good but good enough just to enjoy some music inside or even outside of the house. The screen looks great, albeit a little small, but gets the job done.

My father has a similar set up to my old one so for Christmas I bought him his own one of these and thus far my parents are enjoying it. They like the color screen which includes much more info then their old small plug and play ‘head unit’.

I was disappointed that the radio stopped playing. Was told by siriusxm Canada that it isn't supported here in Canada. That this version is an American version. To call them. Not a happy camper. Loved my old one till it died.

Bought it for my 8 year old to use since it's for XM only and all in one. After extended periods of turning the unit off and leaving it plugged in it would lose its connection to the network. Since it started doing this I instructed my child to unplug it when not in use so that it doesn't mess up. Which in itself is inconvenient because it has a clock and alarm clock function. Only time will tell I guess. Just know this thing can be a little jenky.

I bought this radio a replacement for an older grace digital mondo that was bricked through grace digital obsolescence. It is made by grace digital and was in stock unlike the new mondo elites that are alway out of stock. It runs a stripped down version of the new grace digital interface that is solely meant to play Sirius stations. The description says it has pandora which is misleading. A Pandora station can only be created from songs playing on an active Sirius station. Meaning Sirius has to be playing a band you are interested in and then you can ask it to make a station. It doesn’t have a traditional Pandora interface that uses your Pandora login to retrieve existing stations. That said it does work well for Sirius radio. I wish there was a way to make have the full functionality of the new grace digital interface (internet radio/Pandora/iheart/podcasts/Sirius). But it is priced lower than the new mondo elite.

I had the exact radio with Pandora. Till Pandora stopped. So now with Sirius. The radio boasts other features including Pandora, but only plays Sirius. And as an owner of Sirius in my car, the stations are completely different. You pick stations by genre and store them on 10 pre sets which is nice. There is no live radio. No FM/AM. But the sound is very good. I still don't know how much Sirius is charging me! Still nice having commercial free music.
