I do entertainment for large groups and have to use my laptop. After I had surgery on my ankle and had to sit in a higher seat so I needed to find an adjustable way to raise my laptop to use it at different locations/heights. I looked around and found the HUANUO Adjustable Laptop Stand, Laptop Desk. I wasn't sure if my laptop would be too heavy and make it top heavy or not. I was also unsure if everything would be stable enough while I used the computer on the stand.
I was very pleasantly surprised. The flat top of the stand is a very sturdy metal and has a ridge that you can slide the included clips onto to block your computer from slipping off. The extendable legs are made from plastic with a metal base and each tightly held in place by 4 hex screws (that were already screwed into the stand; I merely had the remove them and then put them in again once I had the leg base in place.) Hex tool was included. To extend the legs, you plush the grey button and then move it to the preferred angle. Angles are embossed on the plastic so you can adjust one side and then move legs on the other side to match.
Pros: The stand has done exactly what I need. I can adjust the height of the desk to match whatever height I need depending on the table I use. The detachable mouse extension (made of metal and has a tab that slides into a spot; held in place by gravity) could be helpful for some but I haven't used it. When extended, the stand hold my HP laptop and I am not afraid of it falling over. It is easy to put together and collapse so not inconvenient to set up and it folds flat for storing.
Cons: Adjusting the legs can be a bit tricky and feel like working a puzzle at first. Each leg has to be adjusted separately and I haven't figured out a smooth way to do it. The embossed angles and arrow can be difficult to see. I'm thinking of marking the most common settings with a permanent marker so I can see it easier. I wish it had a small handled bag to make it easier to store and transport especially since there is not a place to mount the mouse pad on the desk for storing.
Overall, I like this stand. It is sturdy and stores flat. If the adjustment knobs hold out well, I would definitely purchase again
This is exactly what you would expect. Its a good way to make a normal desk into a "standing desk", but by NO means is it like a total replacement.
Pros: Easy to build Pretty easy to change the 3 different axles of angle adjustments Has a decent wide range of angles you can set Cheap-ish
Cons: Mouse holder doesn't work as well as you like. If you put any weight of your wrist/hand on it it will slowly move down due to the pressure/weight. Sooner or later your mouse will just slide off if you dont re-adjust it. It is a bit shaky. As I write this review right now, my laptop moves a little bit, nothing too annoying, but it does move. The mouse holder is like gritty? Its not smooth, so your mouse will make a lot of noise on it, and you are pretty much reliant on using a bluetooth mouse, but most people have those now a days, so not too bad.
For those that are curious, my desk goes up to my mid thigh when im standing, and Using this product allows for me to get my laptop up to chest high (im 6 feet tall).
All in all, good product for the price point, and Ill continue to use it ad-hoc for those days I want to spend 1-2 minutes getting it set up to my heigh level (maxed out)
It's a decent product. However, the accessible width is virtually designed for more slender individuals (if they're using it while sitting in bed), which minimizes its customer base. It's very easy to assemble. I love the adjustable angles. The sturdiness is decent for more soft typing. And the stability is decent for the quality type and price range of a product.
I love you my adjustable lap top stand. Unfortunately, one leg popped off, I was disappointed. But when I reached out to Haven Furniture Co. they replace it immediately and with out question. So grateful.
works perfectly fine for what I'm using it for. HP Zbook and a mouse. It's a little cumbersome to adjust the height, definitely don't do it with your laptop or mouse on it. It's a little shaky, but as long as you aren't going to town on the keyboard or mouse it's perfectly fine.
The fan actually works well. This laptop can run hot, and the fan does a good job of keeping it cooler than stock.
One thing to note, the screws to attach the legs to the tray were screwed into the tray. At first I thought I didn't get the hardware but then I saw them.
I ordered this laptop stand because I needed something to put my laptop on while I am in bed. So far I'm pretty happy with my purchase because it does what it says. The USB fan underneath works fine and is useful. The mouse pad is cute and useful I just wish there was something on the bottom of it that would keep the mouse from sliding right off.
The bed lap desk position is very sturdy, but the sofa tablet stand position is kind of wobbly. That could be because I'm using a laptop and not a tablet on it. I adjusted it to C=45° B=300° A=30° so it stays better. I taped the different degree measurements for the different positions on the bottom side of the tray, so I can adjust it whenever I need to. Overall I'm pretty happy with this purchase.
The picture with the Sims on the screen is in the bed position, and then the other two are on the laptop sofa stand position. I added the pictures of the degree measurements for each of the legs for anyone who might have misplaced their paper, and could use it :)
I was drawn to this stand because it was adjustable and could be folded flat. In my mind I thought, "When I'm not using it I'll just tuck it under my bed". That is possible, however, getting it to the "just right" setting took some time and I can't imagine doing that every time I need to use the stand.
If I wanted to use this on my desk as a stand to prop my laptop up it would be perfect. However, as a versatile and adjustable stand to go between couch, bed, desk, and table as needed it is simply too complicated. The mouse pad area is hooked on and easily removed. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but it does mean when moving it around the mouse pad area falls off and has to be repeatedly put back.
Assembly was quick and easy. Fairly straight forward and came with the allen tool so I didn't have to guess at sizes.
In short, I will gladly keep this stand as a desk stand but will be looking into different stands to use for when working in bed.
I received this stand 2 days ago. It assembled in just a few minutes. I used my mini powered screwdriver with a hex head bit, but could have used the supplied hex wrench. I am impressed with the sturdy materials and design. The manufacturer included 2 slide-on clips for the lip of the tray. They do a great job in preventing my laptop from slipping off the tray. The dual fans are whisper quiet. It took a few tries to figure out how to position the legs to get the tray configured just right. But once adjusted to the height I wanted and put into use I was very happy to find it is VERY sturdy. I leaned on it and it stayed in position. Nice product, great price.
