After about 12 years of use, the original blades on my meat grinder have dulled out. I've been trying to sharpen the original Kitchenaid blades at home using various techniques on the internet (mostly using sandpaper) over the past year, but it just got to the point where it just wasn't doing anything, and I got tired of it. I was planning on buying an original replacement, but they're not readily available on the Kitchenaid website, or sold in any stores near me, so I took a risk on these off brand ones. These new blades are nice and sharp, and fit the FGA-2 Kitchenaid meat grinder just like the original (The model number is printed on the side of the grinder). Most importantly, the blades work well and my ground beef looks like ground beef instead of a weird mushy pile of crushed meat. A key thing to note is that the blades are one way fit only, so you have to make sure that the blades are facing outward, otherwise it's not going to cut anything.
The only drawback is that just a mere 6 months later and these blades are dull. The original blades lasted almost 12 yrs before getting this dull. Thankfully this is a 2-pack, so I'm using the other ones already. Given the short life, I'm probably going to abandon these when the second blade gets dull and go find and buy the original blade for the grinder.
