they never seem to stick but these ones I had no problems with. They stayed in place after I adjusted it once. They haven’t slid down the wall or
shifted or anything. For those who are having trouble with it, make sure that you clean the surface very well before placing it on. It also helps to
wet the suction cups beforehand.
I have it beside my stainless sink and it looks great, almost like a set. The wiring doesn’t look cheap at all. The size is enough so I can comfortably
place my two sponges. No more wet messes from having them on the counter top! In fact it’s actually wide enough so I can fit other things too.
I usually also have my swedish dishcloth and scrubber inside so I can get at them quickly when I’m washing at the sink.
You don’t have to worry about water pooling inside the caddy as there are tons of holes for drainage. Keeps everything nice and clean. The bottom of the
inside is also lined with heavy duty plastic which I feel is going to last a long time.
My only complaint if it even counts is that the metal bar at the top doesn’t do much. I found it to be in the way so I eventually got rid of it.
Thankfully it’s easily removable. Maybe you’ll find a use for it? Who knows.
Anyways yes, I would absolutely buy this caddy again. The price is on point for such a product. It looks and feels way more high grade than the plastic
ones I’ve used in the past. Suction cups seem to work with no issue and it pairs great with my stainless steel sink!
1. Good organizer for all types of sponges and brushes
2. Horrible design for maintaining cleanliness
3. Suction a hit or miss
Let me explain 2 a bit more. Imagine something that accumulates mold and mildew for days weeks months and you don't realize because it blends in with the color (bottom section is black) and then all of a sudden a functional holder stops draining water and you realize it's the gunk that's blocked the holes that are there to allow it to breath. It's downhill from there. No matter how much you clean it, mold and mildew comes back every time. Skip it and stick with something simpler.
UPDATE: The cups fall off after about a couple months. Call Simple Human customer service and they will send you a pack of clear stickers to put on the suction cups to stick to the sink, and then the last about 8 months!!!
Hope it helps!
